Anal Cancer Treatment
Question: is anal sex dangerous after having radiation treatment for prostate cancer? I have had seed implants and wonder if anal sex (natural or using toys) is dangerous. Don't want to displace the seeds or damage the area
btw the implants were over a year ago so they no longer have significant activity
Answer: Its probably safe, assuming everything is resolved, however I would ask your oncologist to be sure. There are too many variables for this to be a general question. I promise you it won't be anything your doctor hasnt heard before,so don't be embaressed to ask!
Question: Late hair loss (cancer): Is it normal for hair to fall out two months after treatment has ended? My friend was treated for anal cancer from June - July with radiation and chemo (and is currently cancer free--yeah!). Her hair started to thin at that time, but only slightly. Now (mid October) her hair is falling out in clumps. Is it normal for the hair to fall out this late after treatment?
Answer: Usually the chemotherapy makes your hair fall out in clumps so it probably is late, and I've seen people being treated with chemotherapy who still have all their hair still. Maybe you should tell your friend to ask her doctor (or doctors) if it's normal. I'm pretty sure it is, but ask anyways to make sure.
Question: Does any know of any online chat rooms for people with Anal cancer? I am a 35yr old female, and I was diagnosed on June 3rd of this year with Anal cancer. I would like to find some chat rooms and talk too people who are going (or been through) the things that I am. I have finished my radiation and chemo treatments. Now were playing the waiting game.
Answer: Anna, Anal cancer and Colon cancer are two separate diseases.
I joined a yahoo group for my cancer, I have found it so beneficial in so many ways.
They have one for your cancer

Question: i'm healin from anal cancer its been 6mouths after my treatments is it safe for me to start have anal sex agai i been goin the the healing thing from radiation an chemo fro my anal cancer an i was wondering is it cool to have anal sex after or during the healing process.. i don't have of the painful things going on no more so i wan to no is it ok to start having fun again because I'm so sexually deprived
Answer: I would seriously urge that you talk to your surgeon about this. Most anal cancers are associated with HPV and unprotected anal sex. I am sure that your cancer also involved surgical reconstruction of your anus/rectum after the tumour was removed. If you intend to resume sex, you need medical clearance from the person who worked on you first.
Question: Colon Cancer and no insurance!? I've been having symptoms of colon or anal cancer for several months now, but will not have insurance coverage until jan or feb!! I've been avoiding going to the emergency room or some clinic because I'm scared that if it is discovered before insurance, it will be considered a pre-existing condition and they will not cover treatment related to the cancer. Not sure what to do or if that is even the case. Any advice? Thanks, I'm praying that it is nothing serious.
p.s. in an attempt to avoid any hurtful jokes, I have NEVER had anal sex.
On many occasions the toilet bowl has been completely red after a movement.
Pain after movements for several hours.
Pain during movements (even it is soft).
The blood is bright red.
Answer: I would never presume to diagnose whether you have anal or colon cancer based on what you have told me. In truth, the symptoms don't really sound like either of those entities.
Be that as it may, let's assume for a minute that it is. If you wait for several months without treatment, you risk considerably more than being unable to get insurance coverage. After all, insurance won't do you any good if you are dead......
I would strongly suggest that you get this checked out. Consider going to a gastroenterologist. Explain in advance what your financial situation is and often they will be willing to cut a deal for less since you will be dealing cash on the line. I suspect that a physical examination and a basic examination called an anoscopy will give you your answer. The gastroenterologist will want to do a full colonoscopy for completeness, but my guess is that you will already have your answer and considerable peace of mind before the colonoscopy
Question: Does anyone even care about Farrah Fawcett, AKA America's Angel? Why is everyone making a big deal about Michael, not Farrah? And Farrah was as famous as him, too. But why does everyone care more about Michael, not Farrah? And Farrah was going through a tough time for the past 2 or 3 years, because she had anal cancer. She even went to Germany for treatments and stuff. She went there like a million times. HONEST ANSWERS ONLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Answer: Hey Paulina,
People do care about Farrah too! Its just that she has had cancer for a long time, so it wasn't as a big of a shock as when Michael died. Michael died out of the blue.
Also, Michael was a MAJOR icon, musician and entertainer. He is the King of Pop, he's sold the most albums in the world, and he's started so many things in the music, dance, fashion, and entertainment industry. and no one can really replace him :'(
I'm not saying Farrah's death isn't important or sad or tragic, because it is, we just all saw it coming with her cancer.
Rest in Peace Michael and Farrah.
<33
Question: Did Farrah Fawcett refuse chemotherapy during her first series of treatments? This is somewhat important to me as I was diagnosed with anal cancer (same as FF) 3 months ago. I've finished treatment recently and am just kind of in limbo. Only time will tell if I'll be over it. I have been extremely stressed today since learning of her passing. Thank you for your time.
I read (can't remember where) that she didn't take oral chemo during the initial treatment in the US because of fear of losing her hair. Guess I'm hoping that my taking the chemo gives me an advantage. Tough day.
Answer: She did not refuse any treatments. Her main doc in the states, told her it was treatable, not curable.
Question: My dog has cancer.. Tips? My 11-year-old Lab had an anal sac adenocarcinoma removed ten months ago. Yesterday, after a vet visit, I learned the cancer has spread to his lymph nodes and the doctor gave him between 3-6 months to live. He is also displaying signs of hypercalcemia (excessive drinking of water/urination).
My question is..Anyone experience something similar with their dog? Any advice to make his last few months happy? Any vitamin treatments?
Also I wanted to add, he is on the Good Life dog food. Ive heard that I should be making his meals, but i have no clue what to fix for him every day.
Answer: Just try and keep his as comfortable as you can. Spoil him as much as you can. I doubt if any vitamin treatments would work in his case. Once his life starts to deteriorate, you'll know when it's time to say good bye.
I've gone through this a few times myself and it's doesn't get any easier.
Question: Genital warts...i think i have them but im not sure....? I'm 19 years old and have had sex before. All my partners used condoms, my recent ex bf/last sexual partner was a virgin. but recently i noticed these, their not bumps, they are not red, they dont leak, they dont itch just idk. They are risin of the skin like i guess warts, but i saw what warts look like and they dont look like them. they are not in the vagina they are actually away from the genital area but like on the side and theres littles ones by the outside of the anal hole. But i never has sex in the anal area at all. im very careful and use condoms. im scared to think that maybe i might have genital warts. If i do, i heard cervical cancer is a lead to the diease, is their treatments to cervical cancer. and i really ugh dont want some random person burning or freezing me vagina!! ugghhh. i have eczema also, u think its probaley just that? or any skin problem? I also have a new bf who i just recently took his virginity, but we used a condom, and ugh it was more like 25 sec session....hes scared of gettin me pregro. yeah i know my life is soo crazy. HELP tho!!!! i heard of online medicine to remove genital warts and stuff, im thinkin about getting checked, what do the free clinic doc do? do they just look at it? or take a blood sample?? PLEASSEEEE HELPPP
Answer: Are you having any pain? Its sounds like you are just freaking out over nothing. The best thing you can do is go to a local clinic. The free clinic will test you also, and that way you can clear your mind and relax. Don't worry they won't burn anything off you unless you want that.
Question: Vaginal discharge HELP? This is for serious answers.
I went to my gyno who prescribed Bacterial vaginosis treatment cream. Del V cream. It didn't work, it made the discharge come out thicker and smell of yeast. I took a tablet for thrush also.
I have been tested for STDs including Trick which all came back negative.
Been tested for cervical cancer etc all clear.
Now two weeks since treatment the discharge is still there. Could it be possible that I have a small tear between my vagina and anal wall when I had anal sex? Which might be causing the discharge?
Although gyno said the inside of my vagina looks healthy.
No I don't have a tampon inside of me. LOL. Also another note I haven't been sexually active in six months.
I just want to be able to wear my panties without sanitory pads everyday.
I know what's my normal discharge. This discharge is fishy/yeasty smell and is runny and it goes into the creases of my vagina.
This isn't my normal.
Answer: You need to go to another doctor. While you might like yours, this sounds like something you need to be pro-active about, and if your doctor can't find what's wrong, it never hurts to get a second (or third, or fourth) opinion.
It really sounds like some sort of infection, and if your doctor isn't thinking of the right tests, you need to get a referral from a friend and see someone else.
Good luck.
Question: Anyone ever feel depressed, or like killing yourself because you have genital warts? If So, whats the solution? How do you live a great life (including great sex) in a life with reoccuring genital warts, even after many treatments?
Here's the reason for my depression:
1) Now I'm worried about getting penile cancer. Depressing. Some say it's a disease too rare to worry about. I hav warts that keep coming back. Thats suppositly rare too but I have it. Penile cancer is no different. Depressing.
2) Many people don't take penile cancer seriously, and figure life should be just as good without a penis when clearly, studies show the great depressions and suicides to those hwo have lost their penis. Horrifingly depressing.
3) Been going to the doctor for a few years removing penile and anal warts, and when they seem to be gone for a few weeks or months, they come right back. Depressing.
4) Poeple say genital warts are harmless. In my case, if not treated, they will get bigger and bigger to the point of constant itching, quick needle stabbing pains, and depressing discomfort.
5) Doctors always seem eager to ask if I'm gay when they find out I have anal warts, and then treat me accordingly even though I'm straight. That question is not only embarrassing, it's ilogical since it doesn't matter what your sexual orientation is, or if you have anal sex. You can still get anal warts. Thats depressing.
6) It's embarrassing wipping my d*ck out to the doctor for treatment ever time a wart grows. Why are there no over the counter medicines that actually work 100% effectively against warts? They only have basic creams that don't much of anything other than stain your underwear. Depressing.
7) It feels like I'm being anally raped by the doctor everytime I get the warts treated. Depressing.
8) People say HPV and genital warts are so common that most people have it. How come it seems that is a gross exaggeration to make people like me feel better about it, and actually it's not that common, and I'm just unlucky. Suicidally depressing.
9) They say usually very sexually active people with many partners get it. I only slept with two women in my life. DEPRESSING.
In fact, it's all depressing. Suicide seems like the only answer because thats bullsh*t if you have to live a less than normal quality life because even though you used protection, you didn;t know HPV existed, and that you could get it even with a condom on.
I see no reason to live. As a attempt to become un-suicidal, how have you dealt with this. And no, I don;t want to hear about all the people who slepted around but were lucky enough not to get it. Or those who have it, but lucky enough to not have breakouts.
Answer: i'm very aware of your feelings. i have been there.
i suggest you join a support group and take part with them.

YOU ARE NOT ALONE!
Question: Do you feel this description of your mars is accurate or close? ?
(Remember that these are broad generalizations; romantic tendencies are the result of a sum total of all the factors in a natal chart. A full reading takes all the mitigating factors into consideration, while these are just brief snapshot delineations.)
Mars in Aries
Mars in Aries tends to be forward and brash. In romance, they do not hesitate to make the first move; even if they're shy, they'll be very direct once they open up. Basically a loyal sign, but they can make bad choices through impulsiveness. Keywords: vigorous, direct, impulsive.
Mars in Aries Projected: Is attracted to Aries types-- strong-willed, vital, impulsive people. Can easily attract domineering people, sometimes even physically volatile partners. Is often attracted to persons in uniform and/or athletes.
Interesting Tidbits: This Mars likes the chase-- Aries is not easily put off! These people prefer vigorous, straightforward sex over touchy-feely or mental games. On the other hand, they have great enthusiasm and stamina. Lots of fun if you like your passion straight up.
Mars in Taurus
Mars in Taurus can be headstrong, but is very willing. This is a sensual and affectionate Mars; the romantic drive is steady and strong, if a bit stolid sometimes. Generous with tokens of affection, but can give the silent treatment like no other. Keywords: loving, stubborn, demonstrative.
Mars in Taurus Projected: Attracted to Taurus types who are materially sound and emotionally together. Is turned off by constant unpredictability; real loyalty is given and expected. Wealth can be a primary factor in choosing a mate.
Interesting Tidbits: This is a sensual Mars that revels in activities such as erotic massage and body shots. Usually fairly conservative, not terribly prone to nonstandard preferences. Loves extended foreplay, and will not be hurried!
Mars in Gemini
Mars in Gemini is imaginative, cerebral, sometimes fickle. Not naturally highly-sexed, but seeks a wide variety of experiences out of sheer curiosity. Likes talking about love and sex almost as much as doing it. An incurable flirt. Keywords: curious, quick, restless.
Mars in Gemini Projected: Attracted to charming, witty, intelligent types, and is turned off by possessiveness. Infidelity (yours or theirs) is a lifelong theme. Often has abundant nervous energy, which can irritate some partners.
Interesting Tidbits: This is a very verbal Mars; dirty talk, erotica, and general conversation about sex is a turn-on. They get bored easily, and can lack stamina; to keep them happy, satisfy their innate need for new experiences. There is a strong tendency to bisexuality and sometimes poly relationships.
Mars in Cancer
Mars in Cancer has a nurturing, emotional style. Often has a maternal quality, regardless of gender. Incredibly sensitive partners, but can be moody and inconsistent in their affection. Forms deep attachments, but can become overly dependant. Keywords: caring, protective, sensitive.
Mars in Cancer Projected: often attracted to protective, emotional types who promise to care for them, sometimes resulting in being unwittingly smothered. Sex drive is deep and passionate, strongly affected by mood. One of the signs most often involved in parent-figure relationships.
Interesting Tidbits: Sensual and passionate, sex is innately tied to emotion with Mars in Cancer. Can appear prudish on the surface, and it can take several sessions for the initial insecurities to fade. This Mars tends to like rear-entry positions and different varieties of anal play. Spanking is also a turn-on.
Mars in Leo
Mars in Leo loves dramatics. Basically very devoted; requires great quantities of attention from a partner, and will sulk without it. Passionate and a bit territorial. Can be more concerned about the performance itself than the partner. Very generous and demonstrative. Keywords: loyal, sensitive, warm.
Mars in Leo Projected: is often attracted to Leo types who are larger-than-life, dashing, and romantic. Tends to attract creative people of all stripes. Can be attracted to social or cultural distinction, which sometimes results in becoming proverbial "political wife", which may or may not satisfy.
Interesting Tidbits: Mars in Leo has a steady, passionate sex drive, but can easily get stuck in a rut. Loves to please; encouragement is highly aphrodisiac. Can be deeply satisfied by different forms of sexual worship, either giving or receiving. Loves performing, too, on film and sometimes in public.
Mars in Virgo
Mars in Virgo is sensual, thorough, sometimes tense. A bit too emotional for its own comfort, and needs steady returned affection without many overt demands. Very responsive as lovers and partners, but can have a deep insecurity that requires much patience. Sometimes tends toward chronic infidelity. Keywords: thorough, perfectionistic, sensual.
Mars in Virgo Projected: is often attr

That describes me perfectly. In a woman's chart they look at their venus sign but my venus is also in leo so that seems just about right.
