Question: why is there so much breast cancer support? there are most lethal and more common types of cancer so why does breast cancer receive so much support? or is just the worst mixture of both?

Answer: 1. it's one of the few lethal cancers that can be caught early and not progress. 2. it kills a lot of people 3. you need females to reproduce

Answer: Would you like to see girls walk around with one boob? Lopsided boobs? Babies that cant get breastfed? A severe decrease in the women population? Which means a severe decrease in overall population? Btw, Guys can get it too. How awkward would that be if you couldn't get it fixed privately.

Answer: I'd be surprised if a newspaper wouldn't donate ad space. A lot of papers also have a community bulletin section or something along those lines. Small community papers would be more likely to donate space or even do a small article on it. You could put up flyers at the hospital if they would let you. You might try to put up flyers at local non-profit agencies and community centres. They usually have bulletin boards, but you usually have to ask before you put up a flyer. I wish you all the best!

Question: How many of u women support breast cancer awareness? I do as much as possible b/c I once had a lump in my breast, thank God it wasn't malignant, but it forced me to permantly stop smoking. It was just an infection that had to b drained.

Answer: I do, my mother died on April 8th, 2007. From stage 4 breast cancer, that spread to her lungs, brain and bones.

Answer: I had mastectomies done and when coming home from the hospital I wish someone had asked to come and clean the house for me and wash my little pug. That would have been so helpful because you cant get around too good after surgery for breast cancer. And I wish someone would have volunteered to go to the store for me to pick up stuff for me. Guess I could have asked someone but I am just not the type to do that. (I guess this answers your question, not sure if that is what you were asking) Thank you for wanting to help people with breast cancer.

Answer: I don't know either. But, my mother died from breast cancer and I shaved my head to support her. Yes, I realized after wards my hairline has deteriorated...but, it was worth it. :)

Answer: Think it needs more support???????????...Breast Cancer research already get 3X the money than Heart Disease gets.....4100 deaths a year for Breast Cancer but 41,000 women drop dead of heart attacks....put the money where it counts!

Answer: With any cause, you can be more affective by aligning yourself with an established organization. You may be jumping the gun here. You can't sell goods to benefit a cause unless you have that causes permission. Any fundraiser has to be approved by the organization. The Breast Cancer Foundation has strict rules, you can't go out asking for donations and representing yourself as part of the organization, that's fraud. Answer: I am remembering my sister-in-law who passed away 4 years ago after battling breast cancer for one year. She was only 36 when she died, leaving behind 2 small children. As the executor of her estate, I make sure her kids know how special their Mom was, and how much she loved them as often as I can. Peace to you Anna, wherever you may be.

Question: What are some financial support for breast cancer? My friend is currently going through chemotherapy right now and she is a single mom with a 16 year old son. She has gotten help from CancerCare but she still needs like financial support. She is already on foodstamps and all that. The problem is that she says she applied for a greencard but I have a feeling that she is a illegal resident. Are there any websites that I can recommend to her for financial support?

Answer: I sure a search on the web will come up with something that will help. But in the meantime, I would check out some churches, many offer help. God is with her and her son.
