Cervical Cancer Stages
Question: I have the beginning stages to cervical cancer. I don't know what to do now.? I have the beginning stages to cervical cancer. I have been told it can be cured, but I don't have the money or insureance to get it done. I have thought about turning to the american cancer society but I am afraid they will turn me down and wont be able to help at all. I am scared and don't know where to turn. If any one knows of anything that will help in any way please let me know.
Answer: Don't worry about paying for your treatment because where there's a will, there's a way! You could A) Go to the Social Security Administration Office in your area and try to file for Medicaid. B) Make payment arrangements. C) Depending upon what state you live in, several states do have programs in place that cover your treatments, therapy, etc.
I, myself, live in Colorado and they have a program that is based upon your income that works on a sliding scale and on Dec 17, I was sent to Denver hospital to have a complete Abdominal Hysterectomy and within a week, they determined that I had Early Stages of Cervical Cancer (Stage 2b Cervical Cancer) and shortly after that, I was told that I needed to go for Radiation Therapy (and I had 2 internal and 25 outer doses). In fact, because I didn't live in Denver, they made arrangements for me to go to a treatment center closer to where I live .
You want to know how much my treatments, the surgery, etc cost me? It cost me $0.00!
Whatever you do, Honey, TAKE MY ADVICE...DON'T PUT YOUR TREATMENTS OFF BECAUSE OF THE COST, AS WHERE THERE IS A WILL, THERE IS A WAY!!!
Question: cervical cancer? i am a 43yr old grandmother of a 10 month old baby girl who is my whole world.......i been recently diagnosed with cervical cancer stage 3a i was wondering can i have a hysterectomy at this point or will it make my cancer spread i have also had radation and 6 chemo treatments that my doctor feels like we should take a break from it right now but the tumors are still there ....i am so scared i just want to know if i will be able to ne here to see my grand baby raised
Answer: I have always believed that the mainstream medical industry is not interested in finding a cure for cancer because it makes too much profit with its present barbarous methods.
Eventually, I came across a detailed report which agreed with my findings, and I have included it in my web page at
http://dgwa1.fortunecity.com/body/cancer.html
By reading this report, you will also convince yourself that it is best to ignore the mainstream cancer industry, and seek alternative cures. Also you should bear in mind that the medical industry will do anything to protect its profitable position, including disparaging alternative healers or even creating bogus court cases.
I believe that cancer is a whole body thing, which in 80 percent of cases manifests itself by producing symptoms in the weaker parts of the body, and therefore appearing localised. It is this treatment of symptoms instead of cause which creates the profitable, yet non-successful approach of mainstream medicine.
Some cures are listed on the web page too.
It is therefore obvious that a holistic approach is required, based on cleansing, diet, exercise and debugging.
CLEANSING
The best way of cleansing is to fast.

but if a patient is too weak for that, or does not fancy the idea, then alternative cleanses are available.

DIET,
The best diet is vegetarian, avoiding all processed, frozen or micro-waved foods and drinks, and based on fresh fruit, fresh vegetables - preferably organic, nuts and seeds. Drinks should be clean water or freshly squeezed orange juice.
Many researchers promote the benefits of vitamin B17 as a healer. this can be found in the following foods:
Apple seeds, alfalfa sprouts, apricot kernels, bamboo shoots, barley, beet tops, bitter almond, blackberries, boysenberries, brewer’s yeast, brown rice, buckwheat, cashews, cherry kernels, cranberries, currants, fava beans, flax seeds, garbanzo beans, gooseberries, huckleberries, lentils, lima beans, linseed meat, loganberries, macadamia nuts, millet, millet seed, peach kernels, pecans, plum kernels, quince, raspberries, sorghum cane syrup, spinach, sprouts (alfalfa, lentil, mung bean, buckwheat, garbanzo), strawberries, walnuts, watercress, yams.
A commercial preparation of B17 is available called Laetrile.
EXERCISE
Exercise should be sufficient to create a sweat, but not sufficient to make you gasp for breath or feel over-tired. About one hours exercise every day is best.
DEBUGGING
There are various theories about how bugs create cancer.
Hulda Clark suggests that parasites are the cause, and that they can be disposed of by using a zapper.

Question: What is the treatment for early stage cervical cancer? I had an abnormal pap smear and my doctor is having me wait six months to have another one done. If the next one is positive, I may have early stage cervical cancer. What treatments do they do in the early stages?
Answer: They do what is called cryosurgery - first they apply an acid (like vinegar) to the cervix to check for abnormal cells, and then remove the cells by freezing them off. Also called a culposcopy.
I'm surprised your doctor is not doing at least the biopsy (vinegar) to check for abnormal cells (called cervical dysplasia).
A positive pap does not necessarily mean that you have cancer. It means that abnormal cells have been detected. Cervical Dysplasia is the earliest precurser to cervical cancer, but it's not cancer. When it's caught and treated, you don't progress into cancer.
I had grade 1 cervical dysplasia in the 1980's and had the cryosurgery. I've had negative pap smears ever since.
Question: What kind of food should we give to 3rd stage cervical cancer patient who is about to undergo radiation? What kind of food should we give to 3rd stage cervical cancer patient who is about to undergo radiation and chemoptheraphy?I mean what food to give and what to avoid?

Question: Has anyone ever suffered from advanced cervical cancer? My gf is suffering from advanced cervical cancer stage 3a. I am not sure what all that really means except that it has spread. She is having a hard time with her symptoms. Not able to walk for a long period of time without geting a lot of pain and her limbs are weak and she has said that some of her skin burns like from her vagina down her thigh.
If you have had, are going through, or know someone that has did you or they experience this and what else can she look forward to? Is there anything I can do to help her? Any ways to help relieve some symptoms?
Any personal experience would be helpful and most appeciated. Thanks.
She has not started treatment yet. I am not certain she will be treating herself with traditional methods.
Answer: Stage IIIa means it has spread to the top of the vagina but not the pelvic wall.
At this stage, it is usually treated with radiation and chemotherapy. You did not mention her treatment.
If she knows what stage her cancer is, then she is seeing an oncologist, and the oncologist should be giving her something for her pain.
I did not answer this because I knew much about cervical cancer, but because I had a close friend who died of cancer a couple of years ago, and your question about what to do to help her is something I can address.
The need to try to do something when a friend is that sick is almost universal, and it is almost a desperate feeling. Please do not go too far or push too hard. Ask her if it would help her if you did x. Don't tell her you are going to do it.
You can offer to do housework, drive her to doctor, look up information about her condition, find her a support group, run errands, etc.
When my friend was on chemotherapy and started losing her hair, I went all over the internet and found hats designed especially for women who are losing hair. I bought about four of them, different styles. I know she liked them because she modeled them for other friends.
When the chemotherapy made a bunch of different foods taste so bad she could hardly eat (she couldn't stand potatoes), and she started dropping weight rapidly, I started making big batches of soup with meat and beans in them, leaving out the spices. I knew she needed protein. I froze them in serving sizes in freezer bags and gave them to her. She liked them. She gained weight. She even served them to other visitors. When she told me she liked ice cream, I got some ideas of her favorite flavors and made some for her myself.
I heard someone on TV say that Trident cinnamon gum takes the bad taste out of your mouth from chemotherapy, so I bought her some. It worked for her and she kept buying it after that.
A mutual friend told me he was desperate to help her, so I told him she was having problems keeping anything on her stomach, and that his stash of marijuana might have some use. He got in his car immediately and drove 40 miles to deliver it. She used it until she could get a prescription for it (we are in California where you can do that).
Your friend is not my friend, and may have entirely different needs. I just want to get you to thinking about what you can do for her.
One other thing. Did you ever see "Terms of Endearment," where the mother screamed in the hospital for pain medication for her daughter? People who are sick sometimes need somebody else to be firm with a doctor. If you don't think she is getting appropriate medication for pain or anything else, it may help if you go with her to the doctor. Only if she wants you to.
I hope all goes well with your friend.
Question: How quickly do the stages of cervical cancer progress? ? Ive had high-risk HPV recurring for over 4 years, and I'm getting "news" from my doctor tomorrow. I'm afraid that my precancerous cells have turned cancerous. Obviously i'll find out tomorrow, but Im just trying to get some info before then...
What are the treatment options? What about fertility? I'm only in my twenties and I want to be able to have children.
Answer: You sound just like me a year ago. I had a miscarriage and when he did a pap afterwards he found out i had cervical cancer. He did surgery and then a week after surgery i found out i was 4 weeks pregnant and lost that baby too. I was so scared that I wouldnt be able to have kids after the surgery, but this past septemeber i delivered a healthy little girl. He said mine was carcinomainsitu that means it was the 1st stage of cancer and can be cured with just surgery. I had to go have outpatient surgery where he just cut off the cancer from my cervix. You do not hurt afterwards or anything and you go home just a few hours after surgery. I think i may have had mild cramps for a day or 2 but nothing bad. The cervix will actually regrow itself. And you can have kids afterwards as long as he doesnt have to cut off too much. And if i remember correctly i think he mentioned that the sucess rate of having a baby afterwards is high. I got pregnant with my daughter 3 1/2 months after surgery and didnt have not 1 problem with the pregnancy and that was even with having to have a d&c to remove the 2nd miscarried baby. Oh and I am in my 20's too, 25 to be exact. He sais that most cervical cancers are VERY slow to develop. I wouldnt worry too much. I know that sounds hard to believe with waiting to find out if you have cancer, but if you were to choose which cancer to have trust me cervical cancer is so easy to get rid of as long as you catch it early. BUT after surgery you have to have a pap every 3 months for 1 year and after that it is every 6 months for 2 years then its back to once a year. My first pap did come back abnormal AGAIN, so i am in the same boat u are in waiting on the doc to call and tell me if i have to have a hysterectomy. Just make sure the doctor you use is not a surgery happy one. If you want kids there is safe and effective ways to make that happen without a hysterectomy. If you need somone to talk to that has been through the same experience or have any other questions just email me at v1nezza@hotmail.com
Question: What are the first stages of cervical cancer?
Answer: Cervical cancer symptoms often go unnoticed because they mimic so many other ailments. Many women pass these symptoms off as PMS or ovulation pains. Many times, however, cervical cancer has no symptoms.
When symptoms are present, they usually do not appear until the cancer is more advanced. This does vary from woman to woman
please see URL for detail in symptoms
Question: What is the average treatment time for cervical cancer in the early stages?
Answer: A LEEP procedure. Relatively simple. It's like taking an ice cream scoop out of your cervix until they get it all.
Question: cervical cancer stages?
Answer: I assume you're talking about actual cancer and not dysplasia
Stage 0 - Carcinoma in situ; CIN 3. The abnormal cells are in the surface layer of the cervix and have not invaded deeper tissues. This stage is not cancer. Also called pre-malignant or precancerous.
Stage 1 - Cancer in the cervix only
IA - Invasion of the cervical tissues can only be seen with a microscope. (Further classified into 1A1 and 1A2, depending upon depth)
IB - Lesions wider than 7 mm or deeper than 5 mm, or that can be seen without a microscope (Further classified for tumors larger or smaller than 4 cm)
Stage 2 - Cancer extends beyond the cervix, but not as far as the pelvic wall
2A - Extends to upper part of the vagina, but not to the surrounding tissues (parametria)
2B - Extends to the parametrial tissues (but not to the pelvic wall).
Stage 3 - The cancer has extended beyond Stage 2, but not beyond the pelvic area. Note: although this system does not include lymph node sampling, in other systems a positive lymph node would put the cancer in Stage 3.
3A - The cancer has spread to the lower third of the vagina, but nowhere else.
3B - The cancer has spread to the pelvic wall, or has blocked a ureter (ureters carry urine from the kidneys to the bladder).
Stage 4 - Cancer has spread to the bladder, rectum, or outside the pelvis.
4A - Spread to the rectum or bladder.
4B - Spread (metastasis) to distant organs such as the lungs or liver.
Question: I am military, my fiancee was just diagnosed with cervical cancer. If we marry will my benefits cover her? I am active duty, and just discovered my fiancee has early stage cervical cancer. If we marry will her condition be covered by my benefits or will it considered pre-existing and we would be on our own?
Answer: she will be entitled to all bennies, including medical, however, she may be required to start all over again with testing and whatnot.
Question: what is the prognosis for patients diagnosed with cervical cancer stage 2A with deep vein thrombosis? my mom is diagnosed with cervical cancer stage 2A with deep vein thrombosis, the left kidney and the left lung is slightly damaged. i need to know her chances of survival.
Answer: Stage 2 cervical cancer has a very high cure rate with proper medical and surgical interventions. The DVT is probably not related to the cancer, but indicates vascular insufficiency. Is your mom diabetic? Does she have cardiovascular disease? Is she post- menopausal? All of these are factors in vascular disease. Because of the known history of DVT she will likely need to be on a blood thinner for life. She may also be prescribed support hose called TED's. These will be worn like pantyhose to help her body maintain vascular blood flow from her legs. The drop in levels of estrogen that follows menopause and or a hysterectomy can contribute to vascular problems. A couple things she can do to to improve her health include eating a well balanced diet low in sodium and trans fats, stay well hydrated with non alcoholic and non caffeine drinks, and exercise regularly (this can be simply walking).
Signs and symptoms of DVT include deep pain usually in the calf, localized swelling may occur, localized redness may occur. If she notices these symptoms, DO NOT rub the calf as this may cause the DVT to break free and travel to vital organs like the lungs or brain. DO get immediate medical attention.
Question: How much time left with stage 4 cervical cancer? My brother recently told me that my mom was diagnosed with cervical cancer. He told me that she is in stage four, and that she is refusing treatment. I know this doesn't sound good but i look everywhere online and they just show percentage of survival. Obviously my my mom isn't going to survive. I want to know how long she has at most.
My mom does nott know that i know. She doesn't want me or my brother's or sister's knowing. She is the type of person who will refuse treatment and doesn't want a lot of people sympathizing her and feeling bad. i respect her for that i'm just wondering what time frame she has without treatment
Answer: It really does depend. My chemo lounge buddy lived a year. It really is only an oncologist that can tell you that.
Question: what exactly is stage 3b cervical cancer n how did I get it? I have been celebate since 04', by choice!? I need more info. on cervical cancer; stage 3B...wht xactly does tht mean? I've stopped all treatmnts, does the cancer go away if I strt eating healthy NOW? Thnkx
Answer: Oh sweety, are you for real? Im not understanding alot from your question. You seem very confused and all over the place. Now cancer has stages. This is graded accordingly and are put in place so that medics or others know how bad your prognosis is according to the grade.
Now Stage 3b cervical cancer is not good at all. First and foremost, it is cancer. Cancer needs prescription medication. Possibly chemo, radiotherapy etc. Eating healthy wont help that. Its not a preventative or a cure for cancer. Although being obese increases your risk of cancer it does not prevent it. (I say that but research is being carried out to see whether certain foods do have a protective effect on cancer).
I cant believe you have stopped treatments and that your consultants have not explained to you the importance of all of this.
Now, to answer your question. Cervical cancer are staged by Figo stages. Figo stages is a description of the stage of the disease (determined by surgical and pathological findings). So for cervical cancer, there are Figo stages 1, 1a1, 1a2 etc all the way to figo stage B. The higher the Figo stage, the worse the prognosis and chance of survival.
Now stage 3B means that the tumour extends to pelvic wall or causes hydronephrosis or non-functioning kidney. So this means that it is not confined to the cervix alone but has spread.
This is why i find it hard to believe that think diet can prevent cancer and that you can cure this by stopping treatment and eat healthy.
I cant believe your consultants have not educated you enough about this.
Being celebate doesnt matter to cervical cancer. If you have been exposed to the HPV virus then you have increased your risk. HPV is transmitted through skin to skin contact so really condoms and things wont work but will prevent other STIs and pregnancy so keep using them. Go sort yourself out quick!
Question: ok so I have been told by my doctor that I have cervical cancer stage 1, should I go ahead and get pregnant? I really want to have kids and my docotor said because of the last leep procedure that my cervics is really hard and that she fears another surgery will cause my chances of carry a baby very slim, Now I'm engaged and 22, what do I do, and will it be safe?
Answer: Definitely have to treat the cancer first, then look at your options after. You cannot fall pregnant and have treatment, you will halm your foetus. Why not consider freezing some eggs that way if your fertility is affected you still have options of producing your own children thru surrogacy?? You need to speak to your specialist but im sure they will advise against it, Stage 1 is very easily treated all the best. xx
Question: How likely is it that a 19 y/o has late stage cervical cancer? When she lost her virginity hardly 2 years ago and has been with two guys( one of those guys only once, and they used a condom)?
* Sorry, I reposted this because I spelled a word wrong and it was bothering me.
Answer: Unlikely because the major target group is 25-49. Also, you haven't had unprotected sex with multiple partners (a major risk factor). If you have had a pap smear recently, you should know the results. If not, get one.
Question: I have found out i have cervical cancer stage 3 , what now ?? What are the treatments i can have?
Answer: You should have the information from the hospital or your specialist nurse. Try the Macmillan site - they're full of good information.
There's a lot of different stuff they can give you and different treatments, so please don't despair....I know it's a hell of a shock for you, but cancer doesn't mean it's a death sentence.
I felt like you after being diagnosed with bowel cancer a couple of months ago....between diagnosis and the first appointments with the specialists, there was very little information, or even counselling, but don't worry...you'll find that everything starts to move pretty quickly once your details are fed into the system, and they decide which is the best way forward for you.
I wish you all the very best, and send a big hug for you xx
