Cervix Cancer
Question: is true that asians has the bigger possibility to have cervix cancer? What's the cause of it and how can it be prevented?
Even if you never have sex with anyone,do you still have the risk of having it?
Answer: You cannot really prevent getting cervical cancer, it depends really on your genes, having sex really won't make too much difference, yes there is something in a mans sperm that can lead to cancer but you would need to susceptible to it anyway. Just go for regularly smear tests and keep your self right.
Question: Why does cancer hit the cervix in women? Like with everything else around that area on a female, why is the cervix most prone to get cancer?
Answer: Cervix is most prone to cancer as it is caused by virus which is very common. The predisposing factors like early coitus, multiparity causes wear and tear thus making more prone to infection by human papilloma virus causing cancer. But now a days vaccine is available against this cancer which gives full protection. For detail see http://dr-healthguide.blogspot.com/2008/12/cervical-cancer-vaccine.html
Question: what signs do you get if cervix cancer? what are the signs for cervix cancer? how serious is it when your below 25?ive also had two babies could that set this off?
and ive always suffer in my family with infections down be low??
thanks
Answer: Cervical cancer symptoms often go unnoticed because they mimic so many other ailments. Many women pass these symptoms off as PMS or ovulation pains. Many times, however, cervical cancer has no symptoms or symptoms aren't experienced until the disease has progressed!
This is why the Pap smear is so important! The Pap smear can detect abnormal cervical changes years before they become cancerous and begin to produce symptoms.
Cervical Cancer Symptoms
Abnormal bleeding.Women with cervical cancer may experience abnormal vaginal bleeding. This can be heavy or light bleeding during the month.
Unusual heavy discharge. An increased vaginal discharge is also a symptom of cervical cancer. It may be foul smelling, watery, thick, or contain mucus. It varies from woman to woman. It is important to report any unusual vaginal discharge to your doctor.
Pelvic pain. Pelvic pain that is not related to the normal menstrual cycle can be a cervical cancer symptom. Many women describe them ranging from a dull ache to sharp pains that can last hours. It can be mild or severe.
Pain during urination. Bladder pain or pain during urination can be a symptom of advanced cervical cancer. This cervical cancer symptom usually occurs when cancer has spread to the bladder.
Bleeding between regular menstrual periods, after sexual intercourse, douching, or pelvic exam. Bleeding after sexual intercourse, douching, or pelvic exam can be cervical cancer symptoms. This is due to the irritation of the cervix during these activities. While a healthy cervix may have a very small amount of bleeding, many conditions may cause bleeding after activities like sex.
Please keep in mind that these cervical cancer symptoms are also symptoms of many other illnesses. If you are experiencing these cervical cancer symptoms, please see a doctor. He or she will most likely do a pelvic exam and may order further tests.

Answer: Are you talkinq about Gardasil ? its just a shot and it pinches a lil and then your arm will feel kind of numb or tinqly for like ten minutes . then you'll be fine
Question: Girls 12-18: Have you/your friends had a bad reaction to the cervix cancer vaccine? Just an odd question as I and my friends were just talking about it. I was in bed for 5 days because I felt so ill, my friend passed out and had to be taken to hospital, and like 8 girls were on bedrest for 3-7 days too.
Did you have a bad reaction?
Answer: No, I didn't have a reaction. I got mine months ago, pretty close to when it first came out. The gave me the 1st shot and had me sit in the room for 20-30 minutes just in case I passed out or felt odd. I didn't have either. I left after 20 minutes because I felt fine. The next 2 shots I left right away.
Question: when they freeze your cervix for cervical cancer does that stop your next period? i had to have my cervix frozen because i had an abnormal pap smear and they said it was pre cancer.....they told me to not have sex for 2 weeks and i didnt but i was supposed to have my period at the end of the 2 weeks, i stopped my birth control about a month ago... could me skipping a period be because of me getting off the birth control after taking it for 3 years or does this usually happen after getting your cervix frozen?
Answer: I had it done so many years ago. I did not miss a period.
Question: is a blood discharge from the vagina cancer of the cervix? i have had cancer malignant melanoma in the leg I now have severe ne is Comag from ann s and can barley walk. I am not a drinker My mobiity is gwtting qow and osw, WhAG CN i XO GO HELP MY SELF. i CAN barelywalk. I have haterectomy and the bleeding. Do I hav cncer of the cervix?
Answer: A bloody discharge always needs investigating, you need to see your Doctor so he can run more tests.
Question: What does your cervix feel like when you get Cervix Cancer? Is there pain? No pain? Occasionally pain? give as much detail as possible please! Thanks! : ]
Answer: the cervix has very little perception of pain (only pressure). therefore, you won't feel cervical cancer until it systemicly (other body regions) makes you ill. this is why detection by a yearly pap smear is super important for survival.
Question: If I had a hysterectomy because of HPV cancer on my cervix? and the warts are back does that mean the cancer is back too? My cervix and uterus were removed.
Answer: Probably not, since you had the parts where the cancer was (the cervix & uterus) removed...I don't see how the cancer could be back. The only way it could be back would be if the doctors didn't get it all or if it had already spread someplace else in your body before that, but the doctors probably would have told you that. I think if you have the warts, it just means you have the HPV warts. Once you have the HPV infection, you always have it, and the warts can come back at any time. HPV is a virus and it stays in your cells; sometimes it is dormant (like it is "sleeping"), other times it wakes back up and causes the warts. However, just to make sure, for your own peace of mind, and since I am not a doctor, I would give your doctor a call & check with him/her yourself.
Question: What are the symptoms of cervix cancer? what are the possible preventions?
Answer: I am sure that someone will answer your question soon. How to get rid of it is easy. Cancer requires a acidic host, by becoming more alkaline, you can prevent the cancer cells from reproducing.
Look up these two websites, and hopefully by drinking alkaline water and giving up acidic sodas, you will not be a good host for cancer to spread.
Question: how can i die from cervix cancer ? i have a pre cancerous cervical cell change . between CIN2/CIN3 (high grade abnormalities )
i want it to develop to cancer so that i can die earlier . any one know how long does it take to develop to cancer ?
i will feel bad if i just kill myself . that's the reason
Answer: The tumor will probably spread to your rectum and\or bladder first. Then it will spread to other organs like the lungs. It is a slow painful death. You could hover for years.
Question: Does anyone know how much money it will cost to check your cervix for cancer? i'm 23 yrs. old & i've never had my cervix checked before, but i will have to pay in cash when i do! can you get a cheap doc or any details on how to go about this! any suggestions!!!!!! please!
what kind of doctor visit will i need?
gynecologist?????
or regular doc!???
Answer: Either a PCP or GYN can do a PAP. If the PAP is normal, you are all set. If abnormal, you would need to be referred to a GYN anyway. Keep in mind, if you are paying cash and have never been to one of these physician's, you will also be billed a consultation fee.
If you are low income you most likely qualify for free / reduced priced care. Contact your local Department of Health and / or local teaching hospitals. The hospitals will have resident's clinics that work on a sliding scale. In RI we have a program run through the DOH called "Women's Cancer Screening Program". For women that qualify, they can get a free PAP & mammogram as well as any followup care that is needed as a result of these tests.
I don't know what state you're from but I have added a link that lists some resources state by state.
Good luck.
Question: Will a lady contract cervix cancer if her husband's ex-wife got it? If a man's ex-wife has cervix cancer, and his ex-wife never had sex with anyone else, what are the chances of his current wife getting cervix cancer if she had only 1 sexual partner before... since HPV infection is transmitted sexually (and is a necessary factor in the development of nearly all cases of cervix cancer)?
Answer: It's impossible to say.
Obviously that means he has the strain of HPV that can cause cancer. But in many people, it doesn't. Many women (and men) will simply clear the infection after a few years and never have any problems. Others may go on to develop cancer. It just depends.
Unfortunately there is no answer to this question. But that's why it's important to get pap smears regularly, especially if you know you may have been exposed to a dangerous strain of HPV.
Question: How do you get hpv and cervix cancer?
Answer: HPV is spread by sex (vaginal, anal, and oral) and by DIRECT skin to skin contact with an infected area.
There are over 120 different kinds of HPV; most are harmless. About 30 of them are sexually transmitted. These kinds of HPV can cause cervical cancer, genital warts and more rarely penile cancer and anal cancer.
If a women has a kind of HPV that can cause cervical cancer she is at risk for developing it. That is why it is SO important for women to get their annual pap smears done. Pap smears are the best thing a women can get to detect any abnormalities on the cervix, which can later develop into cancer.
