Cervix Cancer Information

Question: laser ablation for removal of premature cancer on the cervix? Has anyone had one of these and if so can they enlighten me on what exacly they are going to do? do they numb you or put you to sleep if it's outpatient? can you get pregnant afterward? do you have to stay out of work or can you return (based off you experiences not what doctors say.) my doctor said i could return to work after both biopsies and i was in so much pain i couldn't. or if anyone can direct me to a site that has all this information that would be appreciated too. thanks yall

Answer: You poor thing. Yes! Your cervix is a very tender spot, and it's going to be sore. It is your choice to be put to sleep, if it is a minor surgery, where they will just go in through the vagina, then you can stay awake. But you will definately be "numb" (under anesthesia). Pregnancy should be ok, depending on how your body reacts to the laser treatment and how much tissue is still left. I like MayoClinic.com for all my questions. Good luck. :)
