Cervix Cancer Types
Question: What type of cancer starts at the cervix and spreads to the lympy nodes in your back? Ok my friend moms has got cancer she almost died this past spring so what type of cancer spreads from the cervix and spreads to the lympy nodes in in her neck. Two weeks ago couldn't breath and had to be rushed to the hospital. How long does a person live with that.I know intill the good lord takes her away and alot of times the doctor can tell you that you have so long to live but alot of times there wrong. Can someone help me out.
Answer: i thinkk cervical cancer, im rlly sorry.:(
Question: what are the causes of breast cancer for the women, if not from the genes? My sister- in- law survived from breast cancer 3 yrs ago, but she got no idea where she got it. They dont even have a history of any type of cancer in teh family. Today My Mom, sufferring from cancer to the cervix, we dont ahve any cancer history in the whole family. I dont like to have cancer like them, but I am always thinking that no body is safe from cancer. Esp breast cancer.
Answer: There are a lot of unknown reasons why someone gets cancer. Only a very small percentage is genetic. My aunt, sister and I all have had breast cancer and it wasn't the due to the BRCA1 BRCA2 genetic mutation.
There could be environmental reasons that haven't been discovered yet, or foods, additives, plastics, etc that they just don't know about...
Question: Pre cervical cancer cells? My pap came back abnormal for pre cervical cancer cells was told it could be due to a hormoimbalanceance because I'm 38 weeks pregnant. But I was doing research online and this sentence made me go "WHAT"
Doctors believe that women must have been infected by HPV before they develop cervical cancer. Certain types of HPV are called "high-risk" types because they are often the cause of cancer of the cervix.
I don't have HPV I've always come back negative for it, how could I have cells but not have HPV?!
Answer: baby girl, You will be fine. I love you.
Question: Fibroid found on cervix? I just had my daughter a week ago and while the doctor was getting the placenta out she informed me of a large fibroid or type of cancer on my cervix. She asked if anyone had mentioned it to me during an ultrasound but of course no one did. What exactly does this mean? Is this bad or harmful in any way and how do I get rid of it?
Answer: Fibroids are a collection of connective tissue that appear from out of nowhere. They are said to be most common in African American women. Depending on the size of the mass will determine what will get done in the days to come. If it is quite large ( bigger than a kiwi), then a fibroidectomy will definitely be in your plans shortly. Your pap smears should have came back abnormal if there were signs of cancer, but if their is surgery, they will definitely take samples of it to check for cancer. If it is small, then cryosurgery may also be an option, but of course all of this is based on what your doctor thinks will be the best and safe option for you.
Question: Should I be worried that I have cervical cancer? I just found out that I have HPV. I had abdormal bleeding and went to my OB-GYN. She said that I had some type of infection but she couldn't find a bacteria present. She put me on antibiotics for a week. Two weeks later she calls and says that I have HPV and severe inflamation in my cervix. I have to go in for a biopsy in a couple of weeks. I am 21 years old could this be cervical cancer?
Answer: Probably not, but it might be the kind of situation where you have to be treated for the inflammation or else you might develop cancer in the future.
Also, the CA-125 is only for ovarian cancer, not cervical cancer, so you don't need that test.
Question: i have all 13 types of high risk HPV my doctor says can i still get the warts or just the cancer? of the cervix
Answer: I have never heard of anyone caring all 13 high risk HPV types. Many women are commonly mistaken with the results of the HPV test thinking they carry all 13 high risk HPV types.
Our HPV test screens against 13 high risk HPV types...the HPV test does not tell us what specific HPV types we carry. We know we carry one or more high risk HPV types.
The hc2 High-Risk HPV DNA Testâ„¢ (DNAwithPapâ„¢)* using Hybrid
Captureï‚®ï€ 2 (hc2) technology is an In Vitro nucleic acid hybridization
assay with signal amplification using microplate chemiluminescence for
the qualitative detection of thirteen high-risk types of human
papillomavirus (HPV) DNA in cervical specimens. The HPV types
detected by the assay are the high-risk HPV types
16/18/31/33/35/39/45/51/52/56/58/59/68. The hc2 High-Risk HPV DNA
Test cannot determine the specific HPV type present.

Most often a high risk HPV does not progress to cancer....but yes if left untreated high risk HPV types can persistent and progress to a cancer.
Some high risk HPV types can cause warts of the vulva. Our HPV test is a screening of the cervix only.
Most often low risk HPV types 6 and 11 cause visible genital warts...but yes sometimes high risk HPV types of the vulva cause warts or abnormal cell change of the vulva...which again untreated and persistent could progress to vulva cancer.
With a new sex partner you could acquire additional HPV types.
I hope your doctor will help you understand your HPV test results.
Question: I have cervical cancer, and got it from my boyfriend, or my dad..? I am only 18. I have cervical cancer. I got the HPV from my boyfriend, whom I'm living with at this time. We've been together for 6 months and we moved in with each other early in the relationship because we thought we were the one for each other. The only reason I moved out of my dad's house was because I finally got the chance to get out. ( because he was raping/malesting me ever since I was 14 yrs old)
The last time I went to my Gyno, she gave me a pap. (almost 2yrs ago) everything was fine.... I wasn't diagnosed with absolutely anything. But 3 weeks ago, I went to my PCP for a simple rash down there. THE FIRST THINGG SHE SAID WAS IT LOOKS LIKE HPV!!! She got a couple of swabs from the inside and did a pap and also took a biopsy of those bumps down there. two weeks later I called for the results (she never called me with the results, so I called her) and she said, Tiffany, you have HPV , which is mainly an STD, but certain types of HPV's can cause cervical cancer. and, i'm sorry to say you have cervical cancer. Ever since she said that to me, I have been wondering if it is worth living anymore. She said I have to make an apt. with the Shands hospital in Jacksonville to get a biopsy of the cancer on my cervix. I've been trying like hell to get it done, but they said I have to call back to make an apt because they just got a new system and don't know if they got my referal yet. so, on Monday, I'm going to call again....
But my biggest problem is, WHO GAVE IT TO ME??? Two yrs ago when my Gyno said everything came out good, I haven't met my boyfriend yet. (was it my dad?)
But the first time we( my boyfriend and I) do have sex, I get these bumps down there. they become tender and they hurt. But he's always had these little tiny bumps all over him down there. (we assumed they were just goosebumps) He's the only one I have WANTED to be with, intimately. and these bumps end up spredding(spredding to the inside of me) and they aren't going away.
What do i do?
What are the treatments for HPV and cervical cancer?
Is this going to kill me?
Do I have to go through chemo?
What about having a family of my own???
PLEASE help me!!! I beg of you. I'm so scared. It is so hard to have any kind of intimate contact with the one I love so so much ( MY BOYFRIEND) and not be so discusted with myself. Everytime I taje a shower I just want to cry because these bumps won't go away.
My life is going down the drain.
Answer: TIFFANY,
THIS IS PROBABLY AS HARD AS IT GETS IN LIFE FOR A PERSON AND YOU HAVE SURVIVED SO MUCH ALREADY.
YOU CAN GET MANY OF OF YOUR ANSWERS FROM THE COMPUTER ABOUT TREATMENTS AND CERVICAL CANCER.
IT COULD, BUT NO BODY KNOWS THE DAY OR HOUR OF HIS OWN PASSING FROM THIS LIFE.
ASK YOUR DOCTOR WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE IN YOUR CASE.
THERE ARE PROCESSES TO SAVE EGGS ASK YOUR DOCTOR IF THAT CAN BE DONE. YOU MAY FIND A SURROGATE OR SIMPLY OPEN YOUR HEART TO THE POSSIBILITY OF ADOPTION IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO CONCEIVE YOUR OWN CHILD.
YOU MAY FEEL LIKE THROWING UP YOUR HANDS AND GIVING UP ON LIFE BUT YOU HAVE HAD THE COURAGE AFTER YEARS OF RAPE AND MOLESTATION TO COME THIS FAR AND CLAIM YOUR OWN PERSONAL HAPPINESS PERHAPS YOU WILL COME A LITTLE FARTHER WITH HOPE AND THE DETERMINATION TO LIVE.
MEDICAL SCIENCE IS TRYINGTO FIX US AS OUR BODIES FAIL. SOMETIMES IT IS JUST A MATTER OF HOLDING ON LONG ENOUGH FOR A CHANGE THAT IS GOING TO COME.
KEEP YOUR FAITH.
HOW DOES ANYONE TELL AND 18 YEAR OLD GIRL OR BOY WHAT YOUR DOCTOR HAS HAD TO TELL YOU?
THIS IS PRECISELY WHY THEY ARE PROMOTING THE VACCINE TO KIDS AS YOUNG AS NINE BECAUSE THEY ARE GETTING INFECTED.
THEY CALL ORAL SEX THE NEW HANDSHAKE AMONG TEENS.
THE KIDS HAVE NO IDEAL OF WHAT THEY ARE GETTING INTO AND THE CONSEQUENCES.
TAKE THE TIME TO EDUCATE YOUR FURTHER ABOUT SEX AND LIFE IN GENERAL.
YOU MAY JUST BE THE PERSON THAT COUNSELS OR TEACHES SOMEONE ELSE ABOUT THESE ILLNESS AND IS ABLE TO MAKE A
DIFFERENCE IN THEIR LIVES. YOU CAN MAKE A POSITIVE OUT OF A NEGATIVE EVENT IN YOUR LIFE.
IT IS POSSIBLE TO GET MORE THAN ONE OF THE STDS AND STIS AT THE SAME TIME.
SO YOUR PARTNER HAS TO BE CHECKED AND HONEST ABOUT HIS SEX LIFE AS DO YOU. IF HE IS HAVING SEX WITH OTHERS THAT OPENS YOU UP TO A GREAT RISK OF OTHER DISEASES.
YOU WILL A HAVE SOME STDS AND SIDS FOR LIFE GOOGLE THE INFO TO KNOW MORE.
I KNOW YOUR FATHER SHOULD BE THE LAST PERSON OR THING ON YOUR MIND WHILE YOU GO THROUGH THIS BUT WOULD YOU CONSIDER WRITING IT ALL DOWN AND CONSULTING LEGAL AID AND /OR LAW ENFORCEMENT.
YOUR FATHER IS STILL OUT THERE AND FREE TO BE DOING THIS TO OTHER CHILDREN.
WILL YOU STOP HIM?
BY NOW YOUR BOYFRIEND SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN HIS OWN TEST RESULTS ABOUT STDS AND SIDS.
HE SOUNDS LIKE HE ALREADY HAD THE ANSWERS BEFORE YOU GOT INFECTED. THIS HPV IS ON THE RISE AS THE CAUSE FOR ORAL CANCER BECAUSE PEOPLE ARE DOING MORE ORAL SEX AND TRANSMITTING THE VIRUS TO THEIR MOUTHS. THE ANUS, PENIS AND OTHER AREAS CAN ALSO SHOW SORES AND DEVELOPE CANCER.
BOTH OR EITHER COULD HAVE GIVEN IT TO YOU OR OTHER DISEASES.
A LINK OF THE STD TO YOUR FATHER COULD PROVE THE CASE FOR RAPE AND MOLESTATION AGAINST YOUR FATHER TALK TO THE POLICE. ARE THERE OTHER CHILDREN STILL AT HOME WITH HM, IS HE DATING SOMEONE WITH KIDS,DOES HE WORK AROUND OR WITH KIDS?

Question: Pea Sized Lump - Side of Cervix? I'm very worried. 5 years ago I had cervical dysplasia due to an HPV infection with HPV type 16 - high cancer risk. I had 3 separate biopsies, which came back cancer free, then 3 months later my next pap came back normal.
Fast forward. For the last 6 months, I have had a lump on the side of my cervix that is growing in size. It is in the spot of my most painful biopsy (this area was very painful during the procedure.) At first I thought it was nothing, I get tiny little cysts which are normal, but this is very different. It is growing and becoming painful.
To describe it, it is large, round, somewhat hard (firm,) smooth, and painful. When I touch it, it aches and causes sharp pains. It's not a polyp (those are fingerlike growths) and it is about 3 cm in diameter. I have an appointment with my OBGYN, but first I have to get a pap, I can't request a biopsy.
I am truly afraid of cervical cancer. I have read nabothian cyst (which I do get) are small and pimple like, this is not that. It's on the side of my cervix, not the opening and it's much larger than that. It is not a polyp either (which hangs down from the cervix.)
Is there anything else this could be? If it is cancer, is the 3 mm size considered small? Yes, I am going to the doctor, but I don't think a pap is going to tell me much of anything and looking for other women who have gone through this...
Yes, I booked an appointment already, I go in Tuesday. They refuse to book an appointment for a biopsy, first I have to get a pap (sigh.) Looking for other women who have gone through this be it cancer or cysts or an abscess.
UK Oldie - Did you also have a tumor like growth? Tomorrow's appointment can't come fast enough.
Answer: I had cervical cancer 34 years ago. I had surgery. There were 10 years of follow-ups in cancer clinic (1 a year after 1st 6 months). I have had absolutely no problem ever since. It was a smear test (I think you call it pap) which found it so I don't think it is a waste of time.
I am glad you have an appointment soon. Worrying won't help but you do have my sympathy. If stress gets too bad try Valerian. It is a herbal natural remedy available over the counter in Herbalist shops. Best wishes and good luck from UK
Question: Mom may have some type of cancer in Vagina?? Please help! (ppl tht knw abt vaginal n any other kind of cancer)? okay, so I have a major scare! My mom just went to the ob/gyn and she said that she wanted to go a test in which she would take a piece something i think the uterus lining or something and test it for cancer. My mom has a history of never ever getting her periods after a while. Like she had her period last December and she got it the next time last June. But when she does get her periods they are really heavy. I cant even describe how heavy they are. I have my own heavy periods and hers are 100 times worse. So bad that she has to wear 5 overnight pads at a time. My dad already passed away due to medical issues so you can guess i am being more scared. Her lining in the uterus is known for being thick so the doctor was not able to get in and do the test now. She wanted to wait till she gets her period this month so her cervix is opened fully and it will be easier for her to get a piece of whatever she needs. She said if the test came back positive she was going to do a hysterectomy right away. She said it could come back negative too. But she has given her a lot of medicines to shed her uterus lining but it doesnt make a difference. Her doctor gave her an appointment of the 19th of this month. They are going to do the test period then or no period and the results with take a couple of weeks. So I am scared for the wait time too. My mom is 50 years old. She is not hitting menopause because the doctor said her ovaries are active. I am only 14 and I am flipping out!!! I am not telling her that I am worried because I dont want to worry her either. Please help me! I am so worried. How am I going to wait till the 19th??
MY Questions
What are the dangers of this?
What cancers could she have?
Can she god forbid pass?? Shes all I have now.. besides my brothers and sisters :(
Please be honest. Sorry for writing a lot.
Thanks!
Answer: If it’s cancer it is likely endometrial. 80% of women diagnosed with this cancer are postmenopausal and most are in their 60s and 70s. 75% are found at stage 1-1C which has 5-year survival rates of 70-95%. So, just by numbers alone the odds are in her favor for not having cancer and if she does it is not likely she would die from it.
Question: Do you have HPV or Cervical Cancer???????????????? I have HPV. I also have abnormal cells of the cervix. The reason I havent been to the Dr. more often to keep updated on my condition is.......lack of insurance or none whatsoever. I believe that 99% of women wouldnt have to go through what I am going through if they had adaquet insurance. Did you know that not all HPV patients have contracted this STD through sex. My case is different as I am sure yours is too. I was born in the 70s to a mother who had the virus. Ultimately having her cervix froze and receiving some type of medication that doesnt prevent it from transferring to any future children you may have. So here I am 30 years later with HPV. I am so thankful for my daughters sake that there is a vaccination for her. It will prevent most common HPV and cervical cancer. What is your story??
Answer: I got an "abnormal" pap result from my first pap test at 18. Its been four years and i still have high-risk HPV. Ive had my cervix frozen 3 times and Ive had a few biopsies as well. This "dysplasia" is precancerous cells on my cervix so basically, I just have to go to the gyno every 3 months to get it checked up on. Its definitely aggrivating. I think teens these days hear too much about the pregnancy risk of having sex, and people should talk to them more (in graphic detail, if thats what it takes!) about STDs. I just thank god I got this and not something that will kill me. Its so risky out there and theres no predicting who will have a disease. My sister got genital herpes from a (very cute) doctor. You just never know!
Look at it this way, though- you know what its like to have this condition, even though you didnt contract it through sex. Thats excellent for your daughters sake that you pay close attention to these things. Way too many people dont pay attention until its too late!
Question: Guys, help! what stage of cervical cancer do you think this is? My mom was recently diagnosed with cervical cancer. Because of this, i was eager to know more about this illness and i just found out that this cancer has different stages. I just want to know what stage the cervical cancer is...
The diagnosis was this:
Squamous cell carcinoma, large cell, non-keratinizing type with infiltration to the whole thickness of the cervix, 4.0cm, extending to the lower half of the uterine corpus.
Lympathic vessels in the myometrium, positive for tumor. All three(3) right external illiac lymph nodes, postive for metases. The following are negative for tumor: endometrium, both tubes and ovaries, both parametria, one left external iliac lymph node and two right obturator lymph nodes.
Based on the cancer stage will determine the survival rate.. According to the daignosis, what stage of cervical cancer do you think this is?Please help and another question.. what is a parametria?
sorry there was a wrong spelling
metases should be spelled as metastases
Answer: Hope this is useful it is information I found on a review on Carcinoma of the cervix. According to their table, your mum's carcinoma is stage IB2 (Clinical lesions >4 cm) with lymphatic metastasis and potential of spreading.
I am very sorry to hear that....
The nonkeratinizing carcinoma is characterized by squamous cells with somewhat hyperchromatic nuclei and a moderate amount of cytoplasm growing in discrete nests separated by stroma. In the center of some of the nests, the squamous cells appear to differentiate and degenerate.
During the transition from in situ to invasive carcinoma, tumor cells penetrate the epithelial basement membrane and enter the underlying cervical stroma. Once
the cervical stroma is invaded, the lymphatics and blood vessels are accessible, and dissemination beyond the cervix is possible.
The most important prognostic factors in patients with cervical cancers is lymph node status and size and extent of the primary. In patients with early disease, 5-year survival rate drops to 60% with three or more positive nodes and to 25 to 30% with positive para-aortic nodes. Cervical cancers of comparable size may have a very different metastatic potential, depending on their intrinsic aggressiveness and histologic cell type. Cervical carcinomas also invade directly. Disease may extend to the lateral pelvic walls, into the bladder and/or rectum, or into the vagina as the cancer grows.
According to FIGO staging, it is possible to identify the following stages in the cervix carcinoma:
0 Carcinoma in situ, intraepithelial carcinoma. Cases of stage 0 should not be included in any therapeutic statistics for invasive carcinoma.
I The carcinoma is strictly confined to the cervix (extension to the corpus should be disregarded).
IA Invasive cancer identified only microscopically. All gross lesions, even with superficial invasion, are stage IB cancers. Invasion is limited to measured stromal invasion with a maximum depth of 5 mm and a width no greater than 7 mm.
IA1 Measured invasion of stroma ≤3 mm in depth and ≤7 mm in width.
IA2 Measured invasion of stroma >3 mm and ≤5 mm in depth and ≤7 mm in width.
IB Clinical lesions confined to the cervix or preclinical lesions larger than stage IA.
IB1 Clinical lesions ≤4 cm.
IB2 Clinical lesions >4 cm.
II The carcinoma extends beyond the cervix but has not extended onto the pelvic wall. It involves the vagina but does not extend as far as the lower third of the vagina.
IIA No obvious parametrial involvement.
IIB Obvious parametrial involvement.
III The carcinoma has extended onto the pelvic wall. On rectal examination, there is no cancer-free space between the tumor and the pelvic wall. The tumor involves the lower third of the
vagina. All cases with hydronephrosis or a nonfunctioning
kidney should be included unless they are known to result from another cause.
IIIA No extension onto the pelvic wall but involvement of the lower third of the vagina.
IIIB Extension onto the pelvic wall or hydronephrosis or nonfunctioning kidney.
IV The carcinoma has extended beyond the true pelvis or has clinically involved the mucosa of the bladder or rectum.
IVA Spread to adjacent organs.
IVB Spread to distant organs.
Question: Can stage 0 Uterine cancer be treated with medicine if I also have a trachelectomy for cervical cancer? I just found out that I have cervical cancer, most likely stage 1 since I didn't even have any abnormal cells as of last year. But my type is adenosquamous carcinoma and actually its mixed cell carcinoma because there are regular squamous carcinoma cells there too. Some areas are still CIS/CIN III. The scariest part is that the ECC (Endocervical canal scraping) came back positive for CIN III/CIS and possibly microinvasive. They are concerned some of the cancer could have spread to my uterus but I just don't see how it could happen so fast. I know that adenocarcinoma is more aggressive though and thats what I have so I guess thats why.
The usual treatment from my research is a radical hysterectomy. But for women like me who plan on having kids in the near future, they can usually go with a trachelectomy and just remove the cervix to preserve fertility but make sure the cancer is gone. If it comes back that I just have stage 0 Uterine cancer along with cervical cancer do you think a trachelectomy is still a possibility? I really don't want to have a full hysterectomy. It would be such a life changing and depressing thing for me, in my current stage of my life, and at only 27 years old. I don't think I could handle it emotionally and physically I can't even begin to imagine it either.
Please help. I am getting so depressed.
I am going to a top notch specialist on Friday, hes like the best at the best cancer hospital in Michigan. But I am trying to figure out some options to ease my mind a little until then. I can't sleep, I can't eat. I am falling apart.
Answer: ((((HUGS))))))
I was diagnosed with adenocarcinoma in situ at 26. Luckily it was only in situ, but still the "definitive" treatment is hysterectomy. I did NOT have a hyst, and now I have a lot of follow up and prayer over it not coming back.
If the cancer has gotten up to your uterus, can you still have a trachelectomy? Unfortunately the answer is no. But why worry about that now? That is NOT you situation. You don't even have confirmation that this is past the in situ stage!!
You really need to wait and talk to a gynecologic oncologist. He will probably recommend a cold knife cone biospy of your cervix. This will let him know EXACTLY what's going on. You really need to have this (very minor) surgery as a first step.
Trachelectomy is a great option, but you don't even know that you would need that yet. If it's only in situ, the cone biopsy alone might be enough.
And seriously, having a hysterectomy would NOT ruin your life. Trust me, I was exactly where you are when I was waiting to see whather I had to have a hyst. I was FREAKED OUT. But please remember that you can have ALWAYS have kids, uterus or no.
Please email me if you want to chat. I so feel your pain.
Question: Another colposcopy after giving birth? Possible cervical cancer? I know this is the wrong section, but you ladies always give the best answers. When I first found out I was pregnant my doctor did the routine pap smear and it came back abnormal. It turns out I have the high risk HPV strand that leads to cervical cancer. We did a colposcopy at 14 weeks pregnant and while I had mutated cells in my cervix my doctor said they weren't large enough to worry about yet and that the HPV could still go away on its own. Now that I've had my daughter we're going to do another colposcopy after my cervix goes back to normal. I was just wondering if any of you have dealt with this type of HPV or turned out to have cervical cancer after giving birth? Any experiences you want to share would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!
Answer: I had the same situation. I had positive HPV and abnormal paps till my oldest was 9 months old, she'll be 5 in June. I had my son in July of 08 and tested negative then as well. I haven't tested positive for it in 4 years. I does go away. Like you though my Dr said that it wasn't bad enough to biopsy.
Don't worry yourself about it. It will be ok.
Question: Diagnosed with HPV, and...abnormal cells? Cancer? Please help? I did a pap smear last week and they called me to tell me that I have hpv. I went back to the doc today and his file said it was (high risk), and it also said I have abnormal cells on my cervix.
He did a biopsy (which was by far the most painful thing I have gone through) and sent it to get checked.
The type of HPV I have is the kind that can give you cervical cancer, not the warts.
What are the chances of those abnormal cells being cancerous?
What are the different treatments and procedures to take care of it?
I am really scared, my boyfriend is really worried, and I need some answers.
Please, serious answers, this is no joke.
Thank you :)
Answer: Learning we have HPV can be very emotional and scary.
This article will tell you more about the treatments that may be needed if you doctor feel necessary.
http://www.cancer.gov/cancertopics/understandingcervicalchanges
Many young women do have the virus regress. Some need treatments others do not.
The biopsy will confirm if the abnormal cells have cause low grade squamous lesions (LGSIL) or high grade squamous lesions (HGSIL). High grade lesions are most often treated.
Most often abnormal cells changes are not cancerous they are usually a pre-cancer...can be treated if your doctor feels it is needed.
I know you are scared...it scared me to death when I first learned about the virus and the abnormal cell changes. Knowledge will give you power and the above website is a good first place to learn. I am glad that your boyfriend understands of how scary this can be...I hope he is giving you lots of support.
Do the little things that will help your body fight the virus…reduce stress (learning you have the virus is scary and can cause you lots of stress do what you can to minimize the stress) get good health sleep (sometimes when we are stressed we don’t sleep well) our body builds health cells in stage four sleep. Eat your fruits and veggies the 5 a day plan is good…if you are not eating well try a multi-vitamin it does not replace eating a good balanced diet…but they help. Exercise and limit alcohol. You may also want to consider using a condom…both you and your partner do share your HPV type…but sometime condoms do help the virus regress…condoms do play an important part after any procedure to remove the cell change. You and your partner will not ping pong the virus back and forth but sometimes it does take the body a little longer to heal after a procedure and condoms can add an extra bit of protection to your cervix.
I wish you and your boy friend well.
Question: 10 points...What does severe carcinoma in the 2oclock, 4 oclock, 5,6,7,10, and 12regions mean? My cousin just got her tests back after having a biopsy done of her cervix. The doctor referred her to a gynecologist, and gave her the results to the tests. What exactly could all this mean. She is making an appointment to see the specialist. Her grandmother died of cervical cancer, so it runs her family. What could this mean for her....what type of treatment could she endure?
Answer: The "o''clocks' are used to describe the locations of cancer when looking directly at the cervix.
The next step will likely be to "stage" the cancer. This means a bunch of tests to determine if/where the cancer has spread. The treatment will depend on the 'staging'.
Best of luck.
Question: Is HPV a big deal? 99% of people are wrong on this matter. Most keep saying that 80% of women will get it and most wont have problems. It is probably true that lots will get it (I know about 10 people including myself that have high risk hpv) but most people think it only affects a women's cervix. WRONG. Just type "hpv throat cancer" on google. Or type "hpv head, neck, throat, anal, genital, mouth cancer" and see 1000s of pages indicating that recent research says HPV is a MAJOR cause of all cancers.
I have been doing extensive research on this apparently 50% those who gets the mouth cancer will be dead within 5 years. This is because its very hard to detect in the mouth until its too late and has spread through your lymph nodes into all your major organs. The lucky ones find it early and only get either their tongue or jaw cut out. Think I'm wrong??? RESEARCH ON GOOGLE! Everyone keeps giving wrong information about this disease. those that think HPV only effects woman, WRONG! Men are more affe
Answer: Well I guess yes, HPV is a big deal! I'm a girl, and it's given me grief already... just with my cervix, I had the precancerous tissue removed last year, but that's enough to scare the hell outta me! Crazy info in your post, good read, peace!
