Endometrial Cancer Symptoms
Question: Anyone with endometrial or uterine cancer - pink / white discharges? i' ve heard endometrial cancer symptoms include pink / white watery vaginal discharge. I wonder if that is during the menstrual period, or even outside the period?
Answer: I think that's during times outside the menstrual cycle.
Question: What are the symptoms from your experience of a recurrence of endometrial cancer?
Answer: I was diagnosed with endometrial cancer a little over 8 years ago. It was a total shock. I was having problems with heavy bleeding with my period and went in for a D&C. A polyp was found and removed. I was told it all looked healthy and no worries, but it was sent to the lab.
When I went in for my 2 week check-up I was told it was endometrial cancer. Because of my family history of cancers (not all "female" cancers, but cancer non the less..and all the women died at young ages...38, 54,55,57,59, etc.) my doctor and I decided to do a totaly hysterectomy.
I have no had any reoccurrence of it, that I know of. So far things have been well.
I don't know how old you are, but that might be a suggestion and option for you. I was only 38 at the time I had mine.
Are there consequences to this? yes. I was thrown into menopause immediately! It was hell. Because of the cancer I could not take hormone replacements (HRT). I thought I was loosing my mind at times.
That is until I came across a medication that is over the counter and all natural. It's call Estroven (do not use the generic or the extra strength..neither worked well for me...but then again, everyone is different). I talked with my doctor and my pharmacist about using it. Both said they had never known anyone to take it and actually didn't believe it would do me any good...but I had to try something.
It worked wonders for me. After taking it for 5 days i started to now have as many hot flashes and night sweats and I wasn't as cranky. After a whole month, I hardly had a hot flash at all and I felt much more calm. Now the hot flashes are very far and very few between. I sleep better at nights with hardly any night sweats and my memory has gotten somewhat better (still have problems with peoples names at times).
I let my doctor and pharmacist know how it worked for me and now other women have tried it and had good results too. Both now reccommend it when women ask.
My best advice to you is to talk with your doctor if you are having a reoccurrence of this cancer. Get all the information you can from legit sites online. Call the American Cancer Institute and get info from them if you can. Have someone go with you to the doctor and talk about what would be best. Get a second opinion if that would make you feel better. Go with your gut feeling then with what will be the best for you.
It's a hard decision to make. If you believe in God...pray. I do and I'll say a prayer for you.
Give your doc a call....Good luck!
Question: Endometrial Cancer? My friend was recently diagnosed with endometrial cancer. Her doctor says its in stage 1 and slow growing, and therefore not a big threat. She however, had to schedule a hysterectomy. When given a choice, she choose to have it done in mid June (around the 10th), instead of about May 20th because of personal reasons (non-medical). Is this bad? Is there any need to rush into sugary, or will it not make a difference? It is most likely that she has only had this cancer (or symptoms have only been showing) for about five-six weeks.
Answer: From what I know about cancer I would never wait. The sooner it can be removed . . the 'safer' she'll be . . but that is a personal preference. Cancer is unforgiving . . it will not allow you to make one mistake. However, if she is going by the advice of her doctor . . he would certainly know more about her situation than anyone here.
Question: Need help advice: symptoms of uterine/endometrial cancer? I am 46 and bleed continuously, sometimes light and sometimes very heavy. My bladder is also painful and I occasionly leak urine. I am not on private health, so I cannot see a specialist for about 4-5 months. Even then, they want to insert an IUD. I had to ask to get an ultrasound (small fibroid) and then ask to have a biopsy done. I had non invasive cervical cancer 20 years ago. I have depression and am on seroquel and pristiq. I bleed if I have sex, even orgasm causes bleeding. I am in pain, but the hospital keeps sending me home
Answer: I believe, here nobody will be able, to give you an advice. But remind not all tumors are cancer. And 20 years --- that is a long time --- that does not count. I hope that rises your spirit.
If I read the story of your hospital --- I only can say --- I am glad to be a german.
Question: Is it safe to take Estrogen after having had a complete hysterectomy for endometrial cancer? I'm 44 and am at a higher risk for osteoporosis without any estrogen. However, endometrial cancer is estrogen dependent, so my thought is it wouldn't be wise to take it for risk of recurrence elsewhere. I can deal with the other menopausal symptoms, but am concerned about bone loss since I would typically have had several more years of estrogen before hitting menopause. Any alternatives or thoughts?
Answer: I would say that it is probably not safe for someone who has had endometrial cancer to take estrogen replacement therapy but the only way to find out for sure is to double check with your dr to see what they think.
Question: does anyone have or had endometrial cancer ? i was just wondering if anyone out there has had or has endometrial cancer ? and what are all the symptoms u have or had with it before finding out that u did .? and how old u r or were with it ? i thank you so much for your answers .

Answer: I was 21, I had severe menstrual cramping, excessive bleeding, numerous periods within a month. pretty much the same symptoms with endometreosis. I had endometreosis when I was 15 and had numerous surgeries, it wasn't until I delivered my daughter that they discovered the endometrial cancer via c-section. Had hysterectomy and still have problems 10 years later because of all the scarring.
Question: have any of you had endometrial cancer or uterine sarcoma? if so...did you have any symptoms? or was it something your doctor discovered without you having any symptoms?
Answer: I, myself, have not had this. But, my mother did. She had a discharge that started watery, and at night. It progressed to where she started noticing blood in the discharge, and that it was happeneing more often than just at night. After having a Pap done, she was diagnosed with Papillary Serous Carcinoma of the Endometrium. I hope that if you have any signs of anything out of the ordinary, that you go to your Dr as soon as possible.
Question: What are the real symptom's ? to endometrial cancer? ? Im 25, have 2 children, both c-section... not on birth control, and definitely not pregnant... I miss periods for months, but I have a mucousy bloody discharge, usually noticeable when I wipe... but sometime spotty, lately it's been heavier, and more noticeable and crampy.... Im scared, and no health insurance for myself... I don't wanna hear go to the dr's... or your pregnant .... I just wanna know the symptoms...
Thank you so much... I am a diabetic... and i also am considered "obese" I also just called my mother she told me that she had cervical cancer... in her younger years....
Answer: Since you don't want to go to the doctor....or hear that recommendation. I'll tell you this...if you had endometrial cancer you'd be in a great deal of pain. Endometriosis/endometrial cancer is extremely painful. You'd be in a lot, and I mean A LOT of pain. Pain during your period, painful when you pee, painful cramping during your cycle, painful sex. Since you don't mention pain, I doubt that is the problem. Hope that cleared things up.
Question: Are fibroids, endometrial hyperplasia or polyps a precursor to cancer? I'm 44 and had heavy menstrual bleeding. Ultrasounds and MRI showed three small fibroids, focal complex hyperplasia and polyps. I've been trying natural remedies which have improved menses dramatically, no longer heavy, nor as painful. Should I still have hysteroscopy or other procedure done, or does the resolution of symptoms mean I'm OK?
Answer: Not a precursor to cancer. Chances are the pain and bleeding will return. Interuterine scraping is another option, but I hear it is painful and not always effective. Hysterectomy may be another option for you if you just want to be done all together.
Question: Skipping periods may cut cancer risk so does that mean that disease cancer comes from periods??? I have read these following articles, and found out if you skip a few periods it can reduce the risk of cancer. The modern consequences of too much menstruation include breast, ovarian and endometrial cancers, endometriosis, uterine fibroids, polycystic ovary syndrome and severe cyclical menstrual symptoms. The belief is regular menses means 'a good clean out' but having lots of periods is not a healthy process.

Answer: No, this is BS. Note that the professor making these claims (it are just his assumptions, nothing proven here) is a professor of reproductive medicine, so logically he is going to talk in favour of these type of medicines. He even claims that women who would take the pill, even longer than necessary would be better protected against a number of conditions, while the opposite is true! Several studies have already proven that synthetic hormones increase the risk of several hazardous health effects.
Note that he himself uses these terms: *My view* is we *probably* have sufficient, strong, supportive *anecdotal* and *suggestive evidence*, although *no solid long-term evidence*,---------->so where's the hard proof here? Like I said it are purely his assumptions, no scientifical evidence for what he believes.
And if I may make an assumption: I believe that those women from primitive cultures are better protected against disease and cancers, *because* they don't take dangerous synthetic hormones like most western women do and because they breastfeed much longer, which has also been proven to protect against various forms of cancer. (they also eat a lot less junk, so that may be a factor as well).
No I definitely think you're making the wrong conclusion to think that cancer comes from periods (that would mean that we women are designed to get cancer, since we all get periods at one point in our lives, which doesn't make sense). Here some more facts about why having periods regularly is healthy and suppressing them isn' t:
quote dr. Mercola:
"There is at least one known risk of this: long-term suppression of periods will minimize blood loss and could contribute to iron overload syndromes that are so pervasive in men. Elevated iron stores are one of the primary risk factors for cancer and heart disease. Other studies point to increased risk of different female cancers.
There is no telling what other implications a loss of menstruation may contribute to. Only time will tell.
Aside from the unknown effects of messing with Mother Nature, all birth control pills, contain artificial hormones that your body is not designed to be exposed to, ever.
Long-term use of these synthetic hormones will invariably increase your risk of developing serious chronic illness, including cancer, blood clots, and more."
Question: Cancer help!? I am freaking out a little here. I have been recently diagnosed with endometrial cancer, and I dont know how bad it is or what to do. I have been diagnosed with PCOS, ameneroia and menghorrea (i dont know how i can have both, but yeah) when I was 18 years old, and Im now 23. I now have even more symptoms (change in bowel movements, fatigue, bloated feel, feel full all the time, loss of appetite, pain in vaginal area, pain after sex, pain in stomach) and Im scared. Does anyone have any advice or help as too what this all may be? People dont know how to answer me because this type of cancer is rare for people my age. I dont want to have to get a hysterectomy if I dont have too. HELP!!!
Answer: Endometrial cancer is highly curable. It's normal to be scare. You have to believe in your doctors and your treatment plan. Cancer isn't a death sentence any more. I think my niece had it and she now has three kids. You might not need a hysterctomy. You might have to do something you don't want to do in order to save your life. I wish you luck in your recovery.
FYI,
Certain factors affect prognosis (chance of recovery) and treatment options.
The prognosis (chance of recovery) and treatment options depend on the following:
The stage of the cancer (whether it is in the endometrium only, involves the whole uterus, or has spread to other places in the body).
How the cancer cells look under a microscope.
Whether the cancer cells are affected by progesterone.
Question: complex cyst - cancer ? asking for a friend...? SYMPTOMS: endometrial lining 17mm, 1 1/2 inch complex cyst on right ovary, not pregnant, not menopausal, no period in 2 months, (nurse practicioner could not get past cervix to do biopsy) (also, could not see anything on ultrasound), waiting for CA125 blood test results.
HELP: she is afraid it may be cancer...is there anything else that could cause these symptoms?
Thank you and God bless...prayers welcome
Answer: okay...
if you think you might have cancer, you need to get off the computer and seek medical help.....none of us are doctors, i can guarantee you that.
love,
a friend.
Question: Endometrial polp? What are the chances of an endometrial polyp turning to cancer and what would be the symptoms apart from pain.
I have been waiting for surgery for so long..i'm getting worried
Answer: Very slim. In several studies, including one quite sizable one investigating this very topic, hyperplasia was, but cancer was NOT, more common in women with endometrial polyps compared to those without polyps.
Question: Relative has fibroids/ ovarian cyst (fluid filled) after ultrasound. Doc said 'nothing indicitive of cancer'-? ...but he still did the endometrial biopsy. Thickened uterine wall with symptoms of longer periods- in the middle of menopause. Could this be a benign condition?
Answer: Yes it can be and apparently it is.
Question: Are you glad Proposition 1 passed in Michigan? I voted yes for many reasons to legalize medical marijuana, these are just a few. Do you think it is a good idea or a bad idea? Weigh in with the pros and cons to accentuate your points please.
The U.S.A demonizes an organic plant (marijuana), yet advocates the use of alcohol, synthetic drugs such as vicoden, oxycontin, paxil, and many other mind altering drugs. I just don't understand the logic in that. It makes no sense. PROHIBITION NEVER WORKS AS WELL AS DE-CRIMINALIZATION. 50% of Americas prisons house NON VIOLENT DRUG USERS!!! Want to help fix the economy? Stop demonizing a stupid plant.
One Mothers account
My darling daughter, Caprice, lost her battle against cancer this July. She graduated from college in December, was diagnosed with T cell lymphoma in March, and four months later her suffering was over.
Three years ago, my 72-year-old mother, Phyllis O’Grady, lost her battle against endometrial cancer.
It is heart-wrenching to watch our loved ones suffer. As caretakers, we yearn to do everything in our power to stop their pain and increase their odds of recovery.
Cancer patients develop an aversion to food. Chemotherapy decreases their appetites, causes nausea, and weakens their immune systems. It is a catch-22. Cancer sufferers need nourishment, yet eating becomes an ordeal.
Marijuana, unlike narcotics and other medications, has minimal side effects and major benefits. It increases appetites, reduces nausea, eases muscle pain, reduces stress, and allows patients to get much-needed rest and relief from their symptoms. It also is non-addictive.
I wish my daughter and my mother would have had legal access to this option. Our loved ones deserve all the comfort and compassion we can provide throughout their very difficult — and very painful — journeys.
Robin O’Grady
Clarkston, Michigan
Answer: I am so happy that the proposal passed. I have been a long time advocate for medical marijuana and hope to see the rest of our country follow suit. There are not enough options out there for cancer sufferers and this natural herb allows the patient the ability to eat and relax, which is a great comfort to the patient and family. Also, the prisons and jails are filled with citizens who use it and I think that is a crime in itself. These are non violent people who have no business being locked up. There are many reasons to decriminalize or legalize it, that it just makes no sense for it to be any other way. So, yeah, I am very happy that Prop 1 passed and can't come up with one downside to even comment on.
Question: What are the symptoms & characteristics of an ADENOCARINOMA located in the uterus? Histology Report follows.? The lesion in the endometrial cavity is an adenocarcinoma with a tubulopapillary pattern and showing an occasional small focus of squamoid differentiation. Nuclei r large, atypical & contain prominent nucleoi. Focal tumour necrosis exists & psammoma bodies identified. Tumor superficially infiltrates myometrium, does not involve endocervix. Sections from the right ovary and tube show focally extensive lymphovascular permeation by exactly similar tumour with discrete tumour deposits in the ovarian parenchyma. Psammoma bodies again identified. Positivity for cytokeratin & CA125 with overexpression of p53. CEA negative in each case. Overall appearances are those of a serous adenocarcinoma in the endometrium. Tumour in ovary regarded as a metastasis.
Patient had been complaining of abdominal pain & in lungs for several months. Lungs drained on more than one occasion & according to medical report was of "unexplained origin". Was this and the pain a by product of the cancer?
Answer: I am not a doctor but with any metastasis, you can have diffuse pain anywhere.
