Answer: Memorial sloan kettering in NY. They are rated number one by Usa today. I also know through personal experience - I was not given much of a chance of survival and chose to go to them. I had appendiceal cancer which spread to the colon, bladder and ovaries. After 12 hours of surgery (chemo and radiation)and a year later I am cancer free.

Answer: Esophageal cancer can in somecases be operated on. Is it encapsulated? Is it located in an area where removal of a part of the esophagus is viable? Sometimes radiation and chemo can shrink the tumor at least for a time. It is a difficult cancer to cure. A good onocologist can help with answers. Also talk with a homeopathic MD/specialist. Sometimes a combination of therapies can work miracles and/or add to the quality of life.

Question: Anyone experienced with Chemotherapy treatment? My dad has his first cycle of chemotherapy and it ended on Saturday. He is a little nausious but he's eating. He has esophageal cancer and is also getting radiation treatment - but he can't make it to his radiation treatments this week because he's still weak from the chemo. Answer: I am going thru it right now for testicular cancer. I take chemo 7 hours a day 5 days a week so mine is a little more then most people. I can tell you that 2-3 days after the first cycle is bad, it was VERY bad for me and I ended up in the hospital. What I had to do was go to the hospital everyday and get IV fluids so it would flush the chemo out of my system. If he ends up getting very sick, ask the hospital if he can do this because it helps alottttttttttttt and it also helps you to recover from being sick much faster. I am hoping they gave him nausea medication to take at home? I take zofran. It desolves under your tongue. If he is doing ok right now though, he just might make it thru without being sick!

Answer: Sorry about your terrible experience. You can seek counsel from a lawyer but I am not sure you will get anything. You have suffered a lot. My dad was diagnosed with a brain tumor and was told it's inoperable, they did a biopsy and diagnosed it. 5 yrs later it grew back after radiation and it had to be removed, he would die quick if it wasn't removed. Well he ended up dying from complications due to the surgery. After the funeral the dr called and said oops, we made a mistake, we sent off the tissue from the tumor and your dad's tumor was really this type of xxxx tumor and it SHOULD have been removed 5 years ago and he would have been CURED and living to this day. So the dr and lab misdiagnosed him and we couldn't sue. Apparently there is room for error in the medical field. We went to more than one lawyer and they all said the same thing. It was an honest mistake not out of negligence. I think they should have been more careful. Just like in your case they need to double check. So, you could have a case but then again you might not! It sucks to be on disability. My dad was YOUNG and when he was forced to retire and go on disability it really made him depressed. To keep busy he went back into his train hobby and that seem to give him some sort of happiness while he was alive. I am so sorry to hear of your situations. It does make you not trust doctors or well that was my feeling after all of the craziness. Hang in there. I just thought I would share my experience to give you insight on a potential lawsuit. Answer: giving up 25% of your pay would suck but you are still making more than most people so really its not that big of a deal - just make some cuts on expenses generally stress is a MAJOR contributor to cancers.. so remove stresses in your life - oddly enough people with high incomes are often under more stress to maintain those incomes - so RELAX ditch the crap you dont need... People make mistakes.. I would NOT sue.. I dont know if you are in the USA or not, but typically Americans are too quick to sue.. and its just another stress you dont need.

Question: My father has esophagus cancer and is seeking medical consultation in the UK. Anyone know of such surgeons? My dad had already received treatment and they have inserted a stent in his esophagus but the fistula just won't close up and it's already 5 months now. He wants to seek medical consultation from a more professional surgeon. He is not from the UK, so he would need to go private when he arrives in the UK for a consultation. Answer: Interesting, I recieved an e-mail from Susan Shubangu, a deputy minister of safety & security for Africa. She was speaking of her husband passing & leaving $20,500,000 and she set aside 20% for me for my time also. I assume you got this in your e-mail? I assume both of them are scams, but my e-mail gave me a website to go to (legit) along with all the links to click on and everything worked out the way she said it would. So I know she's a real person who works for South Africa, but I still wonder whether or not the money is a for real deal. I received an alternate e-mail address & a telephone number to reach her at. Seems intriguing enough, but with all the scams out there now-a-days, it's hard to take a chance when someone just waves a ton of money in your face.
