Pancreatic Cancer Therapy
Question: Does anybody know the aproximate cost of radiation therapy for pancreatic cancer 5 days a week for 6 weeks?
Answer: I am a 46 year old pancreatic cancer patient. Cost should not be an issue right now. Saving your life should be. Sooner or later you will get a bill and EOB from your insurance. If you are questioning a bill look what your insurance will cover in network or out. I have had some bills adjusted due to the hospital mistake of charging for out of network when my clinic and procedure was in network and covered. Have a friend or your caregiver Work with a financial advisor at the clinic or hospital they are great in helping you in this time of high stress and stress is the last thing you need right now. I have recieved bill from $10,000.00 to $17,000, but with insurance my out of pocket has been minimal. Cost will also vary from state to state from what I have been told. I hope you are not having issues with cost and this is just a question to see what the cost is in other areas. Stay positive and strong.
Question: Alternative therapies for pancreatic cancer? If you know of anything might help pancreatic cancer please let me know, either here or by email. I am undergoing conventional chemotherapy but my prognosis is not good. I'm 22 so want to fight this aggressively. If you don't know anything to treat the cancer please suggest anything for the pain. Thank you.
Thank you Lillian.
And thanks Gary. You are right to advise me to be careful but I'm at a point where I'm open to suggestions. Please feel free to email me to discuss further.
Answer: I'm so sorry to hear this Benjamin, and I do hope that this cancer stops and you can fight and win!
I can't tell you medicines that will help, but I can tell you about nutrition that is also important. Have you heard about eating food RAW? It's something that vegans and very strict vegetarians do. In order to fully absorb the minerals that are found in a product, vegans cook food under temperatures less than 110'F. Consuming foods RAW is an excellent way to get vitamins and minerals. You see these multivitamins and big white pills that companies put out there for consumers. And even though they help, you want to stay away from things that are processsed. When you look at the labels, the less ingredients the better, because this is what gives you the most healthy nutrition you can possibly attain.
I've seen something similar to what I've just said on Oprah about a woman who was fighting stage four cancer. She is also vegan and this has been keeping her as healthy as possible, and it's been working very well.
I really hope that your treatments get the better of your cancer.
Question: How long can a person with Pancreatic Cancer be expected to live ? How long can a person with pancreatic cancer be expected to live without surgery and only with Chemo therapy ?
Answer: I dont know. I think every case is different!
good luck!
Question: Pancreatic Cancer? my husband - aged 30 has recently been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer which has now spread to his liver and doctors have refused him treatment. Has anyone had or know anyone in a similar situation, and any alternative therapies that may help?
Answer: A good place to go in the US is the John Hopkins Cancer Center but if you are in Europe I have heard of a good private clinic in Spain. If you would like I can send you the information
A family member recently passed due to this his medications included Tarsevar.
He had Radiotherapy and Chemo he was too week for us to take him to this clinic and did not have much of a chance. I have however met someone who is now in remission after being given only 3 months to live so there is still hope.
This cancer is very hard to survive it mainly it depends on the area of the pancreas it is situated and if it has spread to other organs or veins, however you should always keep trying there is always a nice doc out there who will tell you they will go all the way.
Dont get your hopes down and insist on treatment as you are entitled to it. Heres a few links that may help you get some information on this cancer the third one is the John Hopkins institute
oops, forgot my email addy s_240176@yahoo.co.uk
Question: What causes fatigue in cancer patient who are NOT going through chemo or radiation therapy? My mom has pancreatic cancer and is SO fatigued. She is not doing chemo or radiation. It's just wiping her out. What causes that? What will help? She can barely brush her teeth some days.
Answer: It is probably a combination of a lot of things. I am sure her immune system is low so her body is trying to boost it, and it is trying to use what little it has to fight the cancer. It is also a result of the cancer fighting her, cancer needs energy to grow just like anyother cell in your body. I am sure she is not eating as well as she should be and so she is not getting all the nutrients she needs, and that affects fatique as well, As does fear and depression, which comes with having cancer.
She should be taking supplements and trying to boost her immune system. If her doctor does not have any god suggestions find a nutritionist, natural doctor or alternative doctor, they are much better with supplements.
I don't know what she is doing or not doing overall for treatment, but this is what I am doing for my mom.
I know how you feel, my mom was diagnosed with stage 3 non-small cell lung cancer in May, they did radiation and chemo which got rid of the cancer in her lung and lymph nodes in and between her lungs. But, it had spread into her bones and several other lymph nodes, they did more radiation and chemo but she and was only given a few months to live, that was in mid-august. I could not accept losing my mom who is only 43 so I did a lot of research and found what I feel is her best hope.
I am currently in the Bahamas with my mother. There is a clinic here that has been in operation for over 30 years. We have been here for 4 of our 8 week stay, everyday is really inspiring. A lot of the patients stick around in the meeting room/ waiting room to visit, and share stories and catch up. There are 40 people all talking and laughing, talking about cancer and life. The returning patients talk about how bad their cancer was 4, 8, 10, 18 even 28 years ago when they started coming to the clinic, the cancer that has since disappeared. There is nothing dangerous or foreign to the treatment, just building up your immune system in a very effective manner that allows it to identify and fight the cancer. If you want to know more contact me or go to www.immunemedicine.com I cannot tell you how impressed I am with what I have seen and how my mother has already improved. I know one man who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, he skipped all US, conventional (poisonous, dangerous) options and went to the Bahamas and is doing great now. Another man who has been coming here for 18 years that had prostate cancer. People with just about every type of cancer. But, they are honest here, you send them your medical information and they will tell you whether they believe they can help you or not, and they will send you home if they don't think you are benefiting.
My mom has shown drastic improvements and is feeling so much better. and we are in the Bahamas so we are having a good Mother-Daughter vacation. When we got here she was on 75 mg of morphine a day plus 6ml of liquid morphine a day, now she rarely takes any morphine, and only occasionally takes Advil. Some of the pain she does get is associated with tumor kill, it happens to most patients as their immune system begins quickly destroying the cancer cells, it is a good thing.
There are a lot of "alternative" treatments out there worth looking into. I have also done a lot of research on the Cesium Chloride/DMSO treatment and think that it has merit and you can do it at home.
The clinic here believes that a supplement/liquid called VIBE works really well in addition to other treatments, I am going to look in to that some more.
One very helpful website is www.cancertutor.com
US doctors push chemo and radiation, but when you look at the statistics and side effects it is not a good option for most people. My Mom had both before we came here and now that I know more about them and have researched them I feel horrible that I let her go through them. She was lucky (so far) the only long term side effect she has shown is short term memory loss.
The stories I have heard from the other patients here about how they were treated by US medicine astound me. One lady went home to have a shunt put in her liver so she would be ok to come here, but they refused to put it in unless she agreed to do chemotherapy, is that what our country is about? Denying helpful procedures unless we agree to dangerous, toxic ones? The drug companies run US medicine at least when it comes to cancer treatment and it is sad. Most doctors will tell you not to try alternative medicine and some will refuse to even see you again if you do. To some degree they are not to blame, they have not been taught anything about it other than that it is evil and wrong and they would be rejected by their colleagues if they suggested alternatives.
I am not saying that this will cure anyone, but I have seen dozens of people that it has helped and dozens more that are just starting, but already showing improvement.
Please whatever you do, research first.
I am so happy my mom is feeling better and I want to be able to help everyone else who's parent, sibling, child, friend or self has cancer, I know how it feels to watch them get worse and watch the treatment make them more sick.
Good luck!! My prayers are with your family.
Question: Why won't a doctor attempt a liver transplant in a stage IV pancreatic cancer patient? My dad was diagnosed this past friday with stage IV pancratic cancer. It has spread to his liver and other organs. When i asked the doctor if we can do a liver transplant he said no without any hesitation. There are 5 kids (19-31) who would be willing to give my dad thier liver if it can save him. Also the doctor won't remove any of the cancer surgically. He would rather leave it to chemo/radiation therapy which gives an average of 6 months to live. I DO NOT want my father to die anytime soon. He will never know his grandchilderen nor have the chance to see any of his kids marry. My dad is 53, about 6ft and when healthy weighed slightly over 200 lbs. Doesn't smoke and drinks occaionally yet doesn't get drunk. He is a banker therefore he's not really around high level of airborne toxins. Can someone PLEASE HELP ME, help my dad!!!
Answer: I am so sorry for what you're going through. I lost my father at the same age, and it's hard. There's 5 of us, too, and the age ranges are strikingly similar. Again, I know it's hard.
The problem is that cancer is aggressive, and when it's spread to the stage IV category, any organ that they transplant will just get the cancer right back, maybe not immediately, but it will. Stage IV disease means the disease is nearly everywhere, in almost any body tissue available, and it just isn't feasible to make a sick man go through a liver transplant, which is horribly rough on the system, just to get cancer back in the organ. It's just not an option.
Having said that, my father was diagnosed with stage IV cancer. He had no clue that he was sick, and I'm sure your father is the same way. Given that, my father lived for 2-1/2 years, and this was several years ago. Advancements in the medical community continue to grow exponentially. Do yourself and your family a favor - get to the nearest teaching hospital and find aggressive physicians to treat the aggressive disease.
My best to you. I've been listening to cancer doctors speak for years now, and I'm a nurse, so I can say that your dad's doctor is right. I hate it, but he is. It's not right to play merry-go-round with organ donation, especially when he needs to get started on chemo right away to give him a chance for better long-term survival. It's not just in the liver. It's probably in the bone marrow and the pancreas can't be replaced, and that's where the cancer originated.
I'll keep you in my thoughts. Feel free to contact me if you have any other questions.
Question: what is the best treatment for pancreatic cancer? after surgery and radio therapy or chemotherapy with gemzar, is there any other option?
Answer: I see you had one person that mentioned alternative medicine. My answer to your question is in the same arena--
In 1990, I had Hodgkin's Lymphoma, stage 3-B, but I've survived. My doctors were great people, but they really couldn't tell me squat about cancer. During the year in treatment, I started learning about alternative medicine.
Here's what I've figured out--FIRST, somebody--probably connected to the AMA--is getting my answers deleted as 'not a question or an answer', because they don't want you to know about this. So if you want to keep this information, you need to copy it to a wordpad document quickly, before it disappears. Hopefully, they'll give up and stop that nonsense soon, but I wouldn't count on it. Now, here goes--
Cancer is caused by poor nutrition (including oxygen), which leads to a compromised immune system, and by stressors. Stressors can be environmental, like heavy metals, pesticides, food additives, electromagnetic waves or pollution. They can be internal things like emotional or job stress, or poisonous people in our lives. Aging and lack of exercise are also contributing factors.
Our bodies have 60 trillion--yes, trillion--cells, and there are always some mutating into cancer cells, but a healthy immune system kills them before they have a chance to get a foothold in the body.
It takes a LONG time, usually, or an exrtaordinary amount of stressors, to degrade the immune system to the point where it won't do its job, but once cancer has formed, it will generally spread rapidly.
THIS IS IMPORTANT! There are ways to BEAT cancer that the AMA is keeping from the American public, that are currently being used in Europe and around the world! Here are some great books on the subject that is getting hard to find--
"The Cure for All Cancers", ISBN 0963632825
"A Cancer Therapy", ISBN 0882681052
"Oxygen Therapies", ISBN 0962052701
"Hydrogen Peroxide--Medical Miracle", ISBN 1885236077
"The Natural Cure for Cancer--Germanium", ISBN 0533071410
"Killing Cancer", ISBN 0705000966
Type 'used books' into your browser and find a good site, then type in the ISBN numbers and get some great help cheap.
I know of people whose cancer has 'spontaneously remitted' (WENT AWAY for no known reason) after they went on programs of herbs and nutrition that restart our immune systems.
The American Medical Association (AMA) and the pharmaceutical companies control medical law and the FDA in this country with a revolving door policy and heavy lobbying. In 2004, medicine was a 1.1 TRILLION dollar business--about 1/4th of the total economy. That's just too big to care about individuals. You and your family must look out for yourselves to stand a chance of being healthy.
This is not a joke, and I'm not selling anything. Look into it. Best of luck
Question: How does smoking influence chemo therapy? My mother in law was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in December. At the time she has quit smoking (because she had not been feeling well prior to her diagnosis). Now that she has been undergoing chemo and is feeling better she has started smoking again. (She is hiding this from her family, but it is a hard habit to hide.) Is this something that can have a negative influence on her treatment? I know that smoking increases your chances of pancratic cancer considerably, so I was wondering if it would influence things during her treatment. So far, the doctor is very happy with the progress she has made. Her 2nd PET Scan showed a noticeable decrease in the size of the tumor. I just want to make sure that her smoking will not hurt this process.
I really appreciate any feedback.
Thanks!
Erica
Answer: smoking + chemo = poisons + toxins
You already know how bad this is.
But, there might not be anything that you can do about it.
Can you talk to her doctor on your own? Maybe he can approach her in some way so as to not let on that you told him or her. Perhaps saying, "Your results are good, but I'll bet they would be better if you weren't still smoking."
Your mother-in-law might be all, "Well, I never!"
But the doctor can say, "Dude, you SMELL like smoke, you don't think I know these things?"
Or, I don't know, something like that.

He should take opiates (whatever available), so consult with your doctor for prescription.
Question: Combining Coriolus versicolor (PSK), Maitake (MaitakeGold) and Reishi for cancer treatment? Hello all,
My father has pancreatic cancer with metastasis to the liver and left lung , I am planning to offer him some additional herb immune therapy with mushroom extracts, which are Coriolus versicolor (PSK), Maitake (MaitakeGold) and Reishi , does anyone know if I may combine those mushroom extracts? Or a source where I may get some advice?
Thank you in advance
I have purchased the extracts from this company:

Answer: is he taking chemo?? If he is becareful because some herbs block the effects of chemo.
Question: PLEASE HELP what can cure my mom? My mom had pretty bad liver and pancreatic cancer and they are down to the last kimo therapy. It is also experimental and the chances that it will help is quite slim. And even if it does they usually only work for about 20 weeks. And the docotrs say that they don't have anything else after that. But is that REALLY true? There isn't ANY hope after this? I did some research a long time ago and i heard somethign about this machine that uses radiowaves to zap cancer cells? What is that all about? Is there ANYTHING else that can help? She also just got anmonia a few days ago and feels really bad and is now in the hospital. Doctors say surgery is not a option. PLEASE if you know ANYTHING please help me!
Answer: I'm sorry that you are in such a bad situation. It's hard to watch a parent suffer and not know what you can do to help. The sad fact is, there is no cure for pancreatic cancer, and if she's already utilizing experimental treatments then there really is nothing left. The radiowaves thing is highly experimental, and with cancer as advanced as your describe your mothers, it's unlikely that she would qualify for a trial of this nature. Not to mention it's probably hard to find a hospital that's running the trial and has openings.
Surgery is not an option. That's correct. Once the disease has spread, as your mothers has, there is not benefit. And the pneumonia only worsens the situation.
I know you're trying to find someone to offer you a miracle, but there isn't one, and I'm sorry. I hope that you find some peace with this situation, though I know there is little to be found. God's blessings on you and your family.
Question: Do I really have ADD or could it be something else? Help? Here is the situation. I am a college student and have struggled my way here. I am a junior, and I am transferring to a very good school this fall. I also work at a bank, as well as at a store's customer service dept.
When I was about 2 years old my mom explained to me I had extreme obsessive tendencies, however I always would just blow it off and disguise the behavior as normal. But, as I sit and think more about the situation, what two year old would sit in her room for hours with zip lock bags and bag everything? And, is it that normal for a two year old to throw a huge fit if she her mom wouldn’t let her spend almost an hour putting her socks on in the morning. Well, these weird and somewhat obsessive behaviors followed as I grew. I vividly remember when I was in grammar school I would get into argument with my parents that would escalate into hours and hours of screaming and me throwing stuff all over. I also remember these arguments would be caused by my parents trying to revise one of my homework assignments or something similar to that nature. From age five or six, until I hardly spent any time at home at age 18, these vicious arguments would occur usually 3, and upwards of 8 times a month. It was draining and crazy. This made my childhood a bit difficult, not to mention I am not a person to talk about my feelings easily, but rather lash out and destroy my cell phone or something. I also feel that my teenage years have been traumatic, not only because of the intense fights, but also because of deaths in my family. About six years ago my beloved grandpa was diagnosed with lung cancer. Though at the time I had not been subjected to many traumatic situations similar to this, I thought everything would be ok. That is until about three months later when he passed away. I do not remember how I was feeling or what I did exactly but I know it left a huge hole in my family and heart. Then, about a year later, my aunt had been told she had breast cancer; the doctors gave her a bit of hope, and performed therapy and surgery, hoping for her to eventually be in remission. She was doing great for about a year and then it came back, but this time it was even worse, and then it grew to her brain. At that time she and my mom were closer than I can explain. So, my mom moved in with her, (about 1000 miles from our home) and took care of her. She did this for about five months until we received the phone call that she had passed away. During this emotional roller coaster, my mom’s brother, my uncle Steve, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. The same nightmare all over again. We found out he had cancer, and then two months later he looked like he was 80 years old, but was only 45, and soon after passed away. My mother lost her father and two siblings, our family was falling apart. Then, the worst possible thing that could happen did. My father had been diagnosed with malignant melanoma skin cancer. He has been battling it for a long time and is currently undergoing treatment at the NIH. He is going strong and the doctors say he is in remission. But this is only after about six or seven horrific surgeries, and months of being stapled up, and unable to move. It is so difficult to write this, mainly because it makes me break down every time. But moving on, I have been through a lot and as a result of what I just discussed, as well an emotionally draining high school career have leaded me to have extreme anxiety. And when I say extreme, I mean it. And just to put the icing on the cake, about two weeks ago when I was working at the bank, I got robbed at gun point. This just made my anxiety and feeling of being overwhelmed unable to be controlled. Not to mention I have to testify at once of the court proceedings in two days. I feel like my life is a huge mess, emotionally and literally. I am only 20 but make a decent amount of money, yet have nothing to show for it. You could say I am a shopaholic. Some may laugh, but this is not ok. My room is covered in clothes, my closet and dresser filled. I estimate that I have spent over 11,000 on clothes this past year. It’s gross, but to be honest I do it because it does not cause any stress or any feelings of being overwhelmed, (until I get home and have to money left.) It has gotten to the point that if I am going out for a special event or a night out with friends I will buy a new outfit because I have no clue where and what I have is. This is just the beginning of the problem; I am so unorganized with my everything else. I have no clue where my college stuff is, upcoming deadlines. I get so stressed out when I know I have no clean work clothes to wear, and know that I will have to do laundry, and most of the time I will do one load and leave it in the washing machine and leave. To be honest, I am not sure how I have functioned to attend college. I want am majoring in marketing currently. This leads me to my next problem, school. My anxiety goes crazy at school. I cannot
Answer: I work out my anxiety playing video games, but that can lead to more anxiety because it takes up more of my time.
2 books that I found extremely helpful in organizing my life are "10 Natural Laws of Successful Time and Life Management" by Hyrum Smith and "7 Habits of Highly Successful People." by Stephen Covey.
These books work, but only if you follow them. You don't need the official day-planners either, generic ones are fine if you follow the principles outlined in the books.
Question: I am trying to contact Patrick Swayze to give him info.? My brother has pancreatic cancer and was given months to live - that was 4 years ago. He underwent Direct Ozone Therapy combined with Sweats and has enjoyed a rebound that has him back to work and enjoying life. We are Native Americans and in addition to the physical/spiritual "sweats" we sought out a very gifted man who does Ozone therapy. This is a specialization that only a few Doctors in the United States are licensed to practice and even fewer are masters at. I have the name and additional information for Mr. Swayze of one such master. We can help and do not know how to get this information to him without sounding like crazy fans. I have personally benefited from the Dr.'s treatments as well. Addison's Disease is no joke either.
Answer: Here's what I got from a Live Search - I am going through something similar with my Father-In-Law, except he is doing almost everything holistically and the cancer has started to shrink in his pancreas.

Question: Ive been having this dull pain in lower back/buttocks area? plus some stomach problems, Ive gone to the doctor, they just give you antacids, they didnt even want to take an x-ray of my back area
they said it could be swollen sacrolitis, but they never want to do
extra exams, theres so many things out there that can cause back
pain, even pancreatic cancer, so you get scared just thinking about
it, specially when the pain gets bad, i know I have diverticulosis but
can that effect yur back if its infected, theres alo diseases that can
imitate other things. Ive gone to the chiropractor 3 times and all he
does is give me like some sort of electronic therapy on back and put
me in a bed that moves up and down for massage but he hasnt
actually told me whats wrong, if its a pulled muscle, or a pinched
nerve. Im in my 40s but I exwrcise 2 times a week and this has never
ever happened to me, how can you get doctor to pay more attention
its like you have to diagnose yourself almost. Anybody with same
symptoms, would appreciatre any advice cause Im kinda scared
about these horrible pains. Thanks
Answer: The stomach and back problems are probably unrelated... unless you had the back problem first and then started researching the worst - enough to make your stomach hurt.
If it was pancreatic cancer, it would be different and extremely urgent.
Chiropractic adjustment usually helps me but there are better and worse chiropractors. Nothing beats an experienced chiropractor. Two or three pops, cold compress, and I'm all better. Acupuncture works too but it takes longer.
Ask the chiropractor outright whether or not this is an alignment issue or a tissue issue (couldn't resist the rhyme). If it's not an alignment issue, then a good masseuse can help.
Try yoga too. It strengthens and aligns the bones and muscles and will keep you flexible. Flexibility cuts down on sprains and strains.
Question: Is this an example of how misandry, Supremacy & bigotry against those with medical illness is "passively..."? Supported by mainstream modern Feminists? (Please note, long Q, so please don't waste your time reading nor answering if uninterested. There is NO requirement to answer questions).
A question was asked (I'll have to quote the question as the system won't allow me to include links):
"How did feminism become a movement of paedophilia and abuse?"
Now, the way this question was constucted can easily be argued to be inflammatroy, however, it is not without basis. Namely, this question can easily reference the work of G. Greer, The Beautiful Boy & Ms. E. Ensler's Vag. Monologues wherein a 25 year old lesbian raping a 13 year old girl is referred to as "good rape" in the original manuscript (The Little Coochie that Could).
In response, authors No. 5 & 6, the Sophisticated lady & the Professorial lady, answer as follows:
Sophisticated lady (also she's having some sort of conversation with someone later in the answer wherein she suggests that Jewish mothers are Superior to all others:
"Is that according to the voices in your head? Where do you get off making statements like that without providing any research information behind it? There must be a medication for your brand of schizophrenia.
Edit @ billaryboy Anti-Semitic fantasies: have you ever met a real life Jew in your pathetic hillbilly life? There is no better mother in the entire universe than a Jewish mom. She is the most selfless and giving of them all. I just wish I was born to a mother like that. Maybe then it would be easier for me to recognize love and care in other people. You must be sharing your medication with Cassius, because it does not seem to work for either one of you."
Here's the Professorial answer:
"It hasn't. Only people who have no logical skills would think so."
______________________
In the professorial case, only the first two words would suffice to answer the question. The remainder of the answer suggests that she is of superior intellect and capable of better logic than the author of the question (without basis). Isn't this an example of Supremacy in the form of an ad hominem attack upon a an individual man?
There are a few reasonable ways to handle questions that are otherwise offensive or poorly constucted which are either ignore them, indicated that the question is too ambiguous or lacks evidence to support its own assertions (in a diplomatic way) or to use community moderation zealously, as is done with my questions. Resorting to attacks is completely nonconstructive.
In her answer, this sophisticated lady suggests that the author is suffering from a very serious thought disorder. Her use of terminology is clearly an indication that she is NOT a physician, let alone a psychiatrist. Despite this, she feels comfortable accepting a physician-patient duty in absentia of licensure. She's also recommending psychopharmacologic therapy to the author (also a very serious criminal offense as it pertains to the practics of medicine without licensure) and lastly, she seems to be making a paltry joke about those with frank schizophrenia. This is a very serious thought disorder that affects 1% of our populaiton in the West and can be catastrophic. Auditory hallucinations are more common in such patients in addition to extremes of paranoid thought. Why does this modern Feminist feel so comfortable making light of psychiatric illness? Do modern Feminists find pancreatic cancer as humorous?
Then what's this business about "Jewish mums being the best in the world" in the sophisticated lady's answer? This is a statement of supremacy- the height of supremacy, yes?
Also, please note how much "passive support" there is for these modern Feminists' supremacist positions as evidenced by thumbs ups. I wouldn't support another who makes light of medical disease, discussing psychiatric illness so flippantly or suggesting that Jew mothers are the best in the universe.
Does this further add to the body of evidence that modern Feminism is predicated on hatred of men and Supremacy.
*In anticipation of this question of just what modern Feminism is, I figured I'll just clear it up now. There is classical Feminism which is what the dictionary definition refers to (a righteous idea with an end goal of equality). Modern refers to contemporary, and in the modern age, Feminism no longer has the same goals as I interpret it. For this reason, I make a distinction between classical and modern Feminism. The latter being irrelevan and destructive. , imho, in the West.
Answer: I am indeed familiar with the question you are referring to, shaming language is indeed apart of the feminist repertoire, they do not hesitate in calling the author of the question a variety of derogatory insults, including questions their penile size, relationship status, sexuality and intellectual capability.
Question: Dealing with these things...? Basically, the last few months have not been that great.
One of my grandpa's went to the hospital after a minor stroke and was diagnosed with microvascular disease. My grandma his primary caretaker, has also fallen a lot recently and probably has alsiemer's setting in.
On top of having to worry and travel to care for them, my other grandparents have been going through problems. My other grandma was x-rayed two days ago. They found tumors taking over her liver. She's going through surgery on Monday to remove what can be removed, but the liver is yellowing (failing) already. it's probably pancreatic cancer. There aren't very high hopes for her if it is.
I hate to be selfish, but at the same time, there's me. I'm 18, and graduating this year. Basically, I'm going through the "who am I and what do I do well" process. I basically needed a place to vent, and any ideas to help me straighten out my life other than therapy (tried it. No good).
Thanks for reading.
Yeah. I am not suicidal. The one good thing my religion has done for me. That isn't the problem. It's more of a "going through life without feeling guilty for being alive" issue.
And like I said, I tried talking. It doesn't work. It really doesn't work. Any attempts to make myself happy have to come from me, I understand that, I just don't know how to gain it.
Ha ha, no, I don't need to hook-up with a man I don't know or trust and risk STDs and pregnancy to calm myself down. Thanks, but I only give myself to a man who wants more than the goods.
...If screaming into the pillow did any good, would I be asking this question? And I seriously want no children. Too many people exist right now anyone, someone has to control the population even a little bit...
Answer: As far as your grandparents are concerned, all you can do is pray for them and be there for them. Let them know that you love them and just do all you can to help them through the final years of their life. I know it's difficult to have to stand by and watch them suffer with their physical problems, but you need to be strong so that you can transfer some of that strength to them in the their time of need. Good luck, dear.
As for you and your trying to figure yourself out goes - well, that's precisely what you need to do - figure yourself out. You don't need therapy. All you need is to try as many different things as possible until you stumble across something that you're passionate about. It may take some time, but it's well worth it in the end. You're young yet and you've got plenty of time to learn about yourself and what it takes to make you happy. Use your youth to your advantage. Afterall, you could be like me. I'm nearly three times your age and I'm still struggling with the " who I am and what I do well " process. Anyway, good luck with this facet of your life as well...
Hope I helped, atleast a little...
