Skin Cancer Treatment
Question: Can somebody please think possible new skin cancer treatment? im doing a project about skin cancer and i need a possible proposal for a NEW, i repeat, NEW kind of treatment and how it would affect work at molecular level.
Answer: This is the free alternative treatment for cancer patients. It oxygenates the cells, which in turn do their work in fighting disease more efficiently and also produce more healthy cells. You can do more research at molecule level. The principle is extra oxygen into the lungs and the exercising of the internal organs of the body builds up strong immune system.
Do it and you will know from the future test results. You can also do it alongside any medical treatment.
Cancer hates oxygen and cannot live in a high-oxygen environment. If you want to supplement the medical treatment you receive(or not receive) with some alternative therapy then this is for you. You need to help your body to build up your immune system. The breathing exercises - pranayam is a holistic approach creating extra oxygen supply in the body and will slowly help with the health problem.Do the pranayam to see the benefits.Build up your timing slowly and after four weeks at the suggested maximum duration you will start to notice benefits gradually. If you feel tired or dizzy, stop and resume later.
What is known: pranayam helps the body heal itself. How it works in the body is not known – but people may build their own theory. You have to do it yourself for your benefit.
The small print: Keep doing pranayam after you are better for minimum 30 minutes a day for rest of life to maintain health.
People who have been treated successfully, should do pranayam as well, as there is a chance of recurrence.
The pranayam techniques:
Bhastrika - Take a long deep breath into the lungs(chest not tummy) via the nose and then completely breathe out through the nose.Duration upto 5 minutes.
Kapalbhati -(Do it before eating) Push air forcefully out through the nose about once per second. Stomach will itself go in(contract in). The breathing in(through the nose) will happen automatically. Establish a rhythm and do for 20 to 30 minutes twice a day.(Max 60 min/day) Not for pregnant women. Seriously ill people do it gently.
Anulom Vilom - Deep Breath-in through left nostril keeping right nostril closed
then - Breath-out through right nostril keeping left nostril closed
then -Deep Breath-in through right nostril keeping left nostril closed
then - Breath-out through left nostril keeping right nostril closed
and repeat this cycle for 20 to 30 minutes twice a day(maximum 60 min/day).
Bhramri Pranayam -Close eyes. Close ears with thumb, index finger on forehead, and rest three fingers on base of nose touching eyes. Breathe in through nose. And now breathe out through nose while humming like a bee.
Duration : 5 to 10 times
Only by doing you will benefit and will feel good that you can do something to help the body.Copy and print this to improve your technique and stay focused. This is simplified pranayam for everyone and you do not have to go to classes to learn. This is for life, unlike short term classes where you do it in the class then stop when classes are over.
Question: What are the options for skin cancer treatment? This is for a class project/exercise on sourcing information through social networking websites & web 2.0 applications. The question is - what type of answers would be received through this communication medium? What kind of communal knowledge exists about this subject? Please note that I do not have skin cancer and would advocate consulting a doctor above all other options. Thank you for your answers!!
Answer: I can not comment about skin cancer social networking but can tell you that with rare cancers social networking can save a patients life. The social networking cancer groups support one another, empower by sharing information and stories about their own cancer journeys. Through social networking we learned about experimental treatments that others had tried . .and we took that information back to the doctors office with us. Social networking, especially with the rare cancers, is instant . .you can always find someone who will answer your questions or encourage you to seek out different options. Many of the patients I communicate regularly with have very, very few treatment options . . many of them have not survived their disease. Through social networking we were able to piece together treatments that might work against those that we knew were not working . . . long before any clinical trial evidence became publically available. We also shared clinical trial information . . what was working or what was failing . . and unfortunately with my sons type of cancer almost everything has failed. I would say through the support groups I've been a member of . . I have seen vast improvements in treatment options over the last four or five years . . and most of the information was learned from the experiences of group members as opposed to being presented the information from our pediatric oncologist. This way of learning also helped when we did consult with the oncologists because we became familiar with the medical terminology and could understand more clearly what the oncologist proposed to do. Social networking has helped in understanding the treatments . . if a doctor didn't explain it clearly, often another patient could explain it.
Doctors clearly have an understanding of the medical process, but many of them are definitely behind when it comes to social networking about cancer . . many have yet to embrace the phenomenon of cancer support groups sharing information online. Our sons doctor often asked us what other doctors were doing in other parts of the country since she knew we were in communication with other patients. And our doctor always listened to us . . she was able to process the information we shared with her and do her own research to verify what we shared. Through this means my son was offered an experimental treatment called intra abdominal hyperthermic chemoperfusion . . something that had never been done for his age group or disease type . . and I believe that this treatment extended his life by three years.
Social networking is important, how important remains to be seen. It also seems like in terms of treatment that we were more involved with our doctor . . we felt more in control of the process and more a part of a team fighting for our sons life instead of just letting the doctor decide everything.
Question: What is the treatment for skin cancer when removal doesn't work? I have heard that the treatment is better than in the past. Is this true?
Answer: I think they said when removal doesn't' work.
Treatment options depend on the following:
The stage of the cancer (whether it has spread deeper into the skin or to other places in the body).
The type of cancer.
The size and location of the tumor.
The patient’s general health.
For the conventional treatment of skin cancer and for the alternative treatment of skin cancer, see links below.
My advice to anyone is, try to be as strong as you can possibly be in mind body and spirit, stop smoking and boost up your natural cancer fighting cells by eating more vegetables. It has been proven to help many of us that have had and beat cancer.
Question: best hospital for skin cancer treatment? I need some Information about best Doctors of skin cancer in London/England.
Answer: The best hospital for cancer in London is the Royal Marsden Hospital in Fulham Road.
My mother used to go for her treatment there, She was diagnosed with colon and liver cancer in 2004. We live in Gibraltar and we had to travel to the Royal Marsden every 3 weeks for chemo. The doctors there are amazing and the nursing staff are wonderful. Sadly my mother passed away on May 2006 at the age of 60. When she was diagnosed with this disease we knew from the start of her treatment that it was only to prolong her life as it was very advanced already. Skin cancer has a good survival rate nowadays. Check out this hospital before going to another.
Good Luck
Question: Does the Escondido Mellow still exist? It was used in the 70s for skin cancer treatment.? When I was young and living near Escondido, Ca, a mellon was grown there that worked very well in the treatment of skin cancer on my stepfather. It couldn't be eaten as it was poisonous, but on the skin cleared up the cancer quickly. He was a heavy equipment for construction of homes in Rancho Bernardo, so he was in the sun a lot.
The treatment worked well, but after he retired and moved to northern California, he didn't need it for several years. Now at age 80, it has returned with a vengeance. I cannot find any reference to the Escondido Mellon on the Internet.
Answer: I doubt a variety of honeydew melon is going to cure cancer, but they are good for you. They aren't poisonous though.
Description: vigorous plant, huge shade leaves, smooth yellow skin, sweet soft flesh is aromatic and juicy, good down to the rind, can weigh up to 18 lbs., good flavor despite wet growing conditions, with extreme care can handle northern growing areas.

Question: will a second degree sunburn without medical treatment lead to skin cancer? I had a second degree burn on my shoulder from band camp last year. It was so bad I could barely move my arm and it later formed a scab over the burn but it healed very quickly and there wasn't much oozing at all. Now there is no scar or discoloration. It looks as it did even before I had the burn. But will I need to see a doctor anyway? and will I get skin cancer from this?
Answer: well... I just got a second degree sunburn haha and I highly doubt it will lead to any sort of cancer. Its just a burn. The most you could have done was gone to the doctor when you had the burn.
Question: Cancer Treatement. What treatment is likely to be the next action for skin cancer? If the wider area tissue shows signs of cancer what is the next likely coarse of action to be taken?
Answer: radio or chemo therapy but check wikipedia.com and read about cancer skin.
Question: What are the herbal treatment for skin cancer?
Answer: Now I know that it's a touchy subject to ponder, especially if your career depends on people getting treated chemically for cancer. But I know that the reason people get cancer is because of nutrition. I'll entertain your question with my learned hypothesis.
---------
What you are trying to do is induce apoptosis in cancer cells. This is the key to reversing cancer naturally.
Some say B17, others say cider vinegar. Although the most scientific backed information tell me that THC, Iodine, and fermented foods are possible ways to induce the apoptosis in cancer. I know alot of this info is frown upon by the industry, necessarily so, because it's unpatentable. So I would start my search there.
But to specifically answer your question about herbal cures, it would undoubtedly be the high THC content of the Hemp plant. It's high concentration of cannabinoids help cancerous cells submit to apoptosis.
Such a fickle industry. see my links below, also browse my other answers.

Question: Questions about Melanoma (skin cancer) and treatment? If it's spread, is it still curable? If treated late (it's spread to her back, chest and stomach and seems relatively mild) is it still curable? What percentage are cured if treated late?
Also the spots on her are pretty light, but theres quite a bit of them.
She's a friend. She's already gone to the hospital but she didn't say more than "I have skin cancer" and I don't even know if she wants treatment, but that's not exactly a question.
Answer: My husband had melanoma. There are many forms of skin cancer and some are very mild and are simply cut off once they form. If she's went to the doctor and they did not remove anything then I think it's safe to say she has a very mild form of skin cancer. If they did remove any moles then pathology results would have revealed what type of cancer. Melanoma does have a tendency to crawl across the body meaning new melanoma moles will pop up but the depth of the melanoma pretty much determines how harmful it is. Let's say your friend does have melanoma in several places but they are all caught early enough (caught before they grow past a 1mm depth), then it's catching it early enough. Once melanoma starts to growth at depth more than 1mm, the risk that it'll spread and attack the lymphatic system increases which is why it makes it more dangerous. Mild forms of skin cancer, such as basal cell carcenoma, are just removed from the body with no cancer treatment following that, so her's may just be that kind. You may tell her you're concerned and just ask her what type of skin cancer she has. You're a good friend :-). My husband had stage 2B of melanoma (survival rate of 50-60%) but he recently overcame it so we're just hoping it doesn't come back. There are life expectancy rates on the internet and those spooked my husband but then there were many other factors that contribute to cancer that only a doctor would be able to tell and those will alter anything that can be read on the internet. I hope everything goes well with your friend!
Question: skin cancer advice treatment and consultation timescales.? Hi my wife has had a small area of skin itching on her back for the past two months, it is near; or within a group of freckles. She attended the doctors today, and was told that although it is very unspecific, and only very slightly reddened, the doctor was going to refer her to a skin speciallist to have it investigated, although the Doctor thought it was "non urgent" my wife has private health insurance, so she is to be seen in a weeks time, I haven't got pots of money, but do you think I should get her in to see a speciallist sooner, is not time of the essence in these matters?
And if it is a "nasty" what is the treatment, call me worried!!
Answer: If your GP says it's not urgent, then you can rest assured it's not urgent.
The specialist will take a good look at the area and make a decision on what action to take, if any.
Most treatments are superficial and involve the use of liquid nitrogen to freeze the area and stop anything nasty happening.
Treatments of this kind are very very successful, so there's no need to worry.

Question: If a product contains a chemical that is used to induce skin cancer in lab animals...? Should that product require labeling stating that the chemical is used to induce skin cancer in lab animals?
How about if those lab animals were the same animals used to study skin cancer treatments?
How about it the products containing the chemical used to induce skin cancer in mice, rats and hamsters was being heavily marketed to teenagers?
I was just seeking labeling thoughts. However I do have a ton of research showing that there is quite likely a direct correlation between skin cancer and benzoyl peroxide.
Here's a couple of study excerpts...
1. "Benzoyl peroxide has been shown to be a tumor promoter and progression agent in a number of animal studies. The clinical significance of this is unknown."
"Benzoyl peroxide in acetone at doses of 5 and 10 mg administered twice per week induced skin tumors in transgenic Tg.AC mice in a study using 20 weeks of topical treatment."
NOTE: Acetone is simply alcohol. Another common ingredient in skin care products.
2. "Inorganic peroxide (H(2)O(2))-mediated malignant transformation was also enhanced effectively by iron."
3. "Benzoyl peroxide promotes the formation of melanotic tumors in the skin of 7,12-dimethylbenz[a]anthracene-initiated Syrian golden hamsters."
4. "CONCLUSION: This study indicated that benzoyl peroxide could increase carcinogenesis of golden hamster
No, these are all recent studies. The rates used to induce skin cancer are lower than is being used on the faces of our children. And these kids are slopping it on like it's finger-paint. The source of these studies is the National Library of Medicine.
