Answer: Gastroenterologist.
Cancer specialist.
Surgeon.
Nurses.
Nutritionist.
Bio-feedback specialist.
Question: How much is the cost of treatment for stomach cancer?
Answer: My mother passed away 3 years ago from stomach cancer. I couldn't begin to guess at the total cost but I can promise you it was enormous. She only survived 9 months but within that time she had major surgery , chemo treatments, radiation, was in the ICU for a few weeks, had to see about 3 different specialist each week, had home health care workers come to the house to give her IV treatments, and was taking an incredible amount of medications. If I was to guess....it was over a million dollars but I really have no way to figure it out. Don't quote me on that number...but it had to be around that amount.
Question: Can somebody tell me about best doctors/treatment for stomach cancer?
Answer: Stomach Cancer Symptoms Stomach cancer is one of the most common types of cancers. Almost a million people get diagnosed with stomach cancer every year throughout the world ... Stomach Cancer:
Growth of carcinogenic cells in stomach leads to cancer of stomach. There are mainly two types of stomach cancer known as intestinal stomach cancer (this type of cancer is common in people of old age) and diffuse type (which is common in people of certain group, surprisingly people in certain geographical area such as Japan, Korea etc. are more prone to stomach cancer than any other place on earth). Most of the sufferers of stomach cancer are people above age 70 and majority of which involve men patients.
Who is at risk?
People who eat less or no vegetables and more preservative added food or junk food are at highest risk of developing stomach cancer. Also people in their old age (people of age group 65 and above) are at high risk. Along with the above specified possible risk groups, people who are suffering (or those who had history of) from certain types of diseases such as Achlorhydria, Pernicious Anaemia, bacterial infections of stomach (helicobacter pylori). People who smoke are also at high risk of developing stomach cancer.
In some cases, stomach cancer has been witnessed to be hereditary (Although this scenario is very rare, any possibility cannot be denied).
Diagnosis of Stomach Cancer:
There are quite a couple of tests used to confirm stomach cancer in patients, however endoscopy is highly trusted test which varies in complexity based on the situation. Blood sample test and biopsy (samples of cells from the inside lining of the stomach are taken) can also be utilized in order to find out any abnormality. A small robotic tool is used to take pictures of inside of the stomach to find out any abnormal growth which can act as an alarm raiser. Ultrasound scanning also can be used to diagnose stomach cancer. Barium meal (white barium liquid) test also can be used to diagnose this disease in which once the liquid is consumed by the patient, the patient's stomach is examined using X-rays. Along with the above specified techniques, there are many other screening tests available for diagnosis of stomach cancer such as gastroscopy, biopsy and microscopy etc.
What are the symptoms of stomach cancer?
Stomach cancer shows very little or almost no symptoms in its early stage. Occasionally, patient may experience a very light stomach ache. Once the cancer starts growing strong, patient may experience severe stomach ache, loss of weight due to loss of appetite, blood in stool, bloating problem (or bloated feeling) after eating anything, abdominal pain and discomfort, any type of change in bowel habits, Ascites, Jaundice and nausea are few of the symptoms those make life difficult for the patient. With the advancement of time, new techniques are also being invented to confirm the growth of stomach cancer.
What are the different type of treatments available for stomach cancer?
Like any other type of cancers, treatment options for stomach cancer also involve chemotherapy, surgery and medication. In most of the cases, surgery is used to remove a part of or entire stomach. Success of surgery in stomach cancer depends on the stage in which stomach cancer was detected (which is very low as most of the cases are diagnosed in advanced stage of stomach cancer). At times, the treatment of stomach cancer may include combination of surgery and medication to help eliminate carcinogen cells from body after a surgery to remove infected part of or entire stomach. Radiotherapy and biological therapy (also known as immunological therapy) are also used to destroy carcinogen cells from the patient's body. Along with the above mentioned treatment methods, there are many other methods and drugs currently under trial.
Most of the treatments specified above show significant side effects on the patient's health, hence it is very important to follow a proper diet regime and medication in order to cope up with the problems caused by those side effects.
How should I minimize my risk of stomach cancer?
1) Quit smoking, as smokers are at the highest risk level of developing any type of cancer.
2) Try to include vegetables and fruits in your daily diet and avoid junk or processed food.
3) Try to avoid toxic substances such as chemicals etc. Take necessary precautions before you handle such things.
4) Exercise regularly in order to stay fit and active.

Question: anyone suggest good herbal treatment for stomach cancer? a family member has stomach cancer we are interested in herbal treatment alongside the routine treatments please suggest
Answer: yes This info is the result of 28 years of intense study and reading well over 1000 books and the lord leading me to programs that work..it took me a long time to do this for you so please copy it somewhere...
try Dr. Richard Schulze's incurables program. If possible get his tapes on ebay or the net..I wil get links. He had an underground clinic 20 years and cured people dying from every disease..noone went to him unless they were told there was no hope..but it is best NOT to use them with toxic allopathetic treatments. Also if one is cured and returns to the bad lifestyle which causes the disease, it is harder to cure naturally next time. Many miracle cures..I know people with cancer who were healed on this program..his products are best if you can afford if not, make them yourself using bulk herbs..see how to make tinctures on line or email me..generally he uses one part of each herbs (occassionally two parts on a few things but one would be ok (or email me if doing and I'll look up..the notable exception is 7 parts pysllium in the intestinal cleanse number 2 formula...(one part means whatever measure you use...one teas, one tbs, a teacup, one cup, one bowl, etc.
Also try essiac tea but do it according to online directions for brewing the right way...
Also try the Hoxsey formula (schulze's blood cleanser is similar).
Get tapes by Anne Frahm (and read her book and the handbook by her husband called cancer battle plan).,.get tapes from Dr. Lorraine Day (cancer doesn't scare me anymore--this doctor cured herself of breast cancer with alternative health)
Watch the film (ebay) Hoxsey the quack who cured cancer (or when healing becomes a crime)..fascinating.
also visits Tom Harrelson's website and curezone..listed below.
Also grow wheat grass and drink it daily work up to a few ounces or more.
Juice fast (use fresh squeezed/juiced juices (not canned/bottled or frozen but fresh--as much as they can drink and eat lots of produce (raw) organic if possible. Day drank a lot of carrot juice. Sprout seeds and grains and eat lots of live foods (just picked from woods and garden is also considered live foods as is wheat grass juice..it is expensive to buy from a juice bar but cheap to grow..you do need a wheat grass juicer though..they have hand cranked ones or electric)..
this is far better than the toxic tratment the doctors use, but if you must use these therapies in addition to natural, take lots of antioxidants like grape seed extract or pycnoginal (I used this when I got radiation before I knew all this and had very few of the side effects they predicted. Use fresh aloe vera after receiving radiation to reduce burning and damage and calendula cream right after they radiate (I did it in the bathroom at the hospital to do and not interferr with treatment but I didn't ell them what I was doing but I did research how not to interferr with benefits....I used this and had no burning till 5th week though they said I'd have third degree burns by 2nd week (You are so lucky they kept saying--I took 150 supplements then)..
Other antioxidants are melatonin, co-q10, vit E and C, selenium, etc but grape seed extract or pycnogenol is many times better.
Good luck...also listen to shultze tapes like you can get well for motivation. Hope is also important and there is hope here...
Question: Is chemical treatment good for the cancer of stomach? The patient is about 60,he he is very weak after the second chemical treatment.A doctor believes that in this age chemical treatment does not work and prescribes herbal treatments.
Please help.
Answer: I would suggest that you seek out another opinion or a third opinion at a designated comprehensive cancer center. Each state has one and they are among the best research and treatment facilities in the world.

Each patient is an individual and so I do not know why his doctor recommended no chemotherapy. It can be effective depending on the stage of the cancer and the health of the patient. It may be that the patients overall health is not good enough to undergo chemo . . but there are many different kinds of chemo and dosages can be adjusted. Seek out another opinion to see what they say.

Question: What is the treatment for stomach cancer? My friend's wife, about 35 years old, has been diagnosed with carcinoma of the stomach. According to the doctor, there is a 2nd growth (12 x 11.5 x 10 cm) compressing the uterus causing bilateral hydronephrosis. She has a poor appetite and chemotherapy has been advised. She is on Tocitoxil and Ofaliclatin every 21 days. I would like to know what is the best treatment option available for her?
Answer: Carcinoma of the stomach is a tough one. Be the best friend you can to your friend and his wife. It sounds like she is already getting the best care possible. sorry
Question: stomach cancer? my grandfather is very old and was diagnosed with stomach cancer today. they thought was an ulcer but it turned into stomach cancer. the doctor told us to come to the hospital today to speak with him and my uncle is there now but the doctor is no where to be found so we dont know anything else about it..but is stomach cancer fatal and also is there a treatment/cure for it. if so what?
Answer: What a tough diagnosis - I hope you're grandfather will be ok : )
Stomach cancer, also called gastric cancer, is a malignant cell growth that begins in the cells of the stomach and invades the surrounding healthy cells. Stomach cancer is less common in the United States than in some other countries. In the past, it was one of the leading causes of cancer deaths in the U.S. However, the incidence of the disease has declined due to possible improvements with food handling and storage and better treatment of infections.
There's more information on treatment at this link -- see if it helps : )

Question: My dog has lymphoma (cancer) and stomach . Without treatments he will die.? Our 5 yro Rottie was just diagnosed with Lymphoma and Stomach cancer yesterday. He has been like a son to my husband and I. Over the last 3 weeks he went from 116 pounds to 99.5 yesterday. I am not asking what I should do only what others would do. I spoke with a specialist that said it would cost about $4000-5000 to do treatment and there is no guarntee that it will work or even help. I don't want his last few months to be in pain. I am looking at him and for the most part he looks ok other than the weight loss. He eats and plays. My biggest concern is is his body starving itself? Answer: I am so sorry this is happening to you.
Here is what I'd do. he looks ok, eats ok and still is playing. So for now, i'd leave him be. I'd get in all the quality time i could with him and play with him as often as possible. I'd make the time special and prepare myself mentally for worse days ahead.
Cancer treatments often don't work, especially if it is foud later. It's a horrible truth. He will die without treatments, but no one knows when or how long he'll survive.
As long as he's ok for now, i'd leave things be and like i said, love on him as much as possible. Know all those things you didn't give your dog to keep him healthy? Well, now's the time to shower him with goodie treats! Give him a little steak after he's eaten his dog food. Make him some chicken, give him some ice cream (NOT CHOCOLATE, and not in large dosages). Give him lots of yummies to help him eat extra and to fortify his failing system.
When the time comes where you can see he is struggling and in pain, than i'd evaluate how long i would allow him to suffer. It's a shame we can do more for our suffering pets than we can for our human loved ones. Anyway, I'd probably put him down when it got to be too much, out of respect and care for the animal.
There are times when cancer takes them quickly as well, and you might never come to that cross roads.
Realize you are allowed to grieve. Don't buy a new pet right away. When a person is in the grief stage the new animal feels it and feels they have to step up and take charge of all those who feel grief. Many of those pets end up in shelters for horrible behavior that they would normally never have. Grief is healthy and a natural part of our life. When you finally feel strong and capable again, than you can consider getting a new dog, but even give it another 6 months past there to make sure you have a healthy and once again, happy home to bring another animal in to it. Other animals deserve it as well as it making you happier in the long run.
Your choices might end up difficult, but in the end, you have to do what is right for the animal. Any less would be cruel.
Hang in there. Enjoy the good days with him. Let yourself cry as often as you need. Don't let anyone tell you there is a time limit for grief and don't allow people to tell you that you can't grieve for a pet! Many like to believe that animals do have a spirit form and will be waiting for you on the othe side. It's not a stretch to believe it either, not when you look into their wonderful eyes... and see the beauty from within.
When and if the decision has to come down to helping your dog from major pain. Realize, you get to sit with the animal while it happens. They go to sleep and their breathing slows until it stops. There's no struggle. Make sure if he goes, that all family gets to say goodbye, so it makes it real. A child has a much harder time if they don't understand death. Hiding it from them only protects the parents and not the child. They will want to know what happened to their beloved pet as much as you would want to know.
Again, i am sorry for this happening within your life.
Question: does anyone know someone close to you that has stomach cancer? and what is the life expectancy? My mom just found out that she has stomach cancer. She does not want to have any treatment. Her doctor is giving us 2 - 3 months.
Answer: Hi, the life expectancy depends on how advance is the gastric cancer and the histology, the most common type is adenocarcinoma and the overall, 5-year survival in the United States from gastric cancer is 18.6% in men and 25.2% in women. However, in untreated patients median life expectancy in advanced disease with liver metastases is 4 to 6 months and 4 to 6 weeks in patients with peritoneal carcinomatosis. This means that if it is spread to the liver the expectancy Is 6 months top, and if it if spread into the peritoneal cavity (the space within the abdomen that contains the intestines, the stomach, and the liver) the life expectancy is 6 weeks top. I´m sorry.
Question: What countries are the best for diagnosing STOMACH CANCER in the World?Latin America? Hello, My father has been recently diagnosed with Stomach Cancer, over in El Salvador (that is where we are from) but we are not sure if its a good diagnosis, and we want a better opinion, plus we wish to explore the best and most affordable options for treatment. Can anybody tell me, which countries are the best in treating STOMACH CANCER in the World and in Latin America?
Thanks
Answer: The Japanese probably have the most experience in the world and pioneered endoscopy for the diagnosis of stomach problems.
There are a number of excellent options in US including the Ochsner Foundation in New Orleans. Cost may be an issue, but they are excellent.
My understanding is that there is an excellent hospital in Costa Rica, associated with Baylor University Medical Center. You should be able to find it on the internet.
There is a surgeon in San Salvador whom I know. He trained in the US in both General Surgery and Pathology. He is excellent if you can find him. His name is Dr Juan Calix.
Hope this helps
Question: what can I expect from stomach cancer? started as breast cancer and progressed to stomach, leg, bone, brain and liver cancer. Is there a successful treatment for this. that you are aware of.
Answer: I think reading the information below, and the referenced reports will help you a great deal.
I have always believed that the mainstream medical industry is not interested in finding a cure for cancer because it makes too much profit with its present barbarous methods.
Eventually, I came across a detailed report which agreed with my findings, and I have included it in my web page at
http://dgwa1.fortunecity.com/body/cancer.html
By reading this report, you will also convince yourself that it is best to ignore the mainstream cancer industry, and seek alternative cures. Also you should bear in mind that the medical industry will do anything to protect its profitable position, including disparaging alternative healers or even creating bogus court cases.
I believe that cancer is a whole body thing, which in 80 percent of cases manifests itself by producing symptoms in the weaker parts of the body, and therefore appearing localised. It is this treatment of symptoms instead of cause which creates the profitable, yet non-successful approach of mainstream medicine.
Some cures are listed on the web page too.
It is therefore obvious that a holistic approach is required, based on cleansing, diet, exercise and debugging.
CLEANSING
The best way of cleansing is to fast.

DIET,
The best diet is vegetarian, avoiding all processed, frozen or micro-waved foods and drinks, and based on fresh fruit, fresh vegetables - preferably organic, nuts and seeds. Drinks should be clean water or freshly squeezed orange juice.
Many researchers promote the benefits of vitamin B17 as a healer. this can be found in the following foods:
Apple seeds, alfalfa sprouts, apricot kernels, bamboo shoots, barley, beet tops, bitter almond, blackberries, boysenberries, brewer’s yeast, brown rice, buckwheat, cashews, cherry kernels, cranberries, currants, fava beans, flax seeds, garbanzo beans, gooseberries, huckleberries, lentils, lima beans, linseed meat, loganberries, macadamia nuts, millet, millet seed, peach kernels, pecans, plum kernels, quince, raspberries, sorghum cane syrup, spinach, sprouts (alfalfa, lentil, mung bean, buckwheat, garbanzo), strawberries, walnuts, watercress, yams.
A commercial preparation of B17 is available called Laetrile.
EXERCISE
Exercise should be sufficient to create a sweat, but not sufficient to make you gasp for breath or feel over-tired. About one hours exercise every day is best.
DEBUGGING
There are various theories about how bugs create cancer.
Hulda Clark suggests that parasites are the cause, and that they can be disposed of by using a zapper.
Zappers are available from

Question: Can pregnant women have cancer treatment? Will it kill the baby? And what are the symptoms of internal cancer, like of the lungs or womb or stomach. I just need some basic info on cancer and pregnancy and how it affects the two. And what happens if the woman decides to go ahead with the pregnancy and leave the treatment until after the baby is born, how will that affect her, and the baby? thanks, all info welcome
Answer: Alternative cancer treatments can be divided into two general groups:
First, those that target the cancer cells DIRECTLY,
Second, those that target the cancer cells INDIRECTLY.
Question: my dad got esophagus cancer hes having treatment its gone to his stomach how much time we got with him? i need to now roughly has i just read most cases dont survive he cant swollow and i think my family are not telling me every thing please help
he got cancer of the thourt and stomach and not lungs
Answer: His oncologist - who knows all the details of this case - should be able to give you the best estimate - though no one can know the future with any certainty. With the limited information provided, the likely survival is in months rather than years, but again his doctor can guess much better than we can. Strongly advise you to go with your dad when he sees the oncologist. The oncologist will not tell you over the phone due to patient privacy requirements these days.
Question: What are the best stomach cancer centers in the USA? California? Florida? My dad was diagnosed with stomach cancer in El Salvador, Central America (where we live) but we want and need another opinion, from international doctors that offer us a good treatment and diagnosis. We want to know which are the best stomach cancer centers in California and Florida, so we can go there as soon as posible. Thank you very much.
Answer: Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center is considered the best cancer hospital in the US, and probably in the world. It's in New York, rather than California or Florida, but if you're coming to the US to be treated for cancer that's where I'd suggest you go. I know that people come from all over the world to be treated at Sloan. I'm working in a research lab at MSKCC this summer and as part of that have attended various staff training types of things and have seen a little bit of the medical side of things, and I've definitely gotten the impression that not only do they know what they're doing from a medical perspective, but that they've got the more human side of patient care down pretty well too.
In California, the UCLA Medical Center, and UCSF are ranked 9 and 10 in the country, respectively. I don't really know either of the hospitals at all, but I can tell you that the research labs at UCSF are a nice place to work (which I'm sure is a major factor in chosing a hospital, but it's all I've got that isn't in the US News rankings).
In Florida, Sarasota Memorial Hospital is ranked number 50 in the country, but I'd go with either of the Calfornia ones over that if you can't make it to New York.
Question: Question about someone with stomach cancer? I know this lady that's said to have stomach cancer. I know she's in stage two of this type of cancer. I'm curious, and I'm in the need of answers to this question. She refuses to go for the treatments now. I guess the question here is will she heal from this type of cancer without the treatments, or is this going to develop into a serious stage over type.. a.k.a stage four. How long does she have to live? She's also got emphysema combined with this, and of course refused to stop smoking as well. Is this lady leading towards death? She's 50.
Answer: Most people with stomach cancer die within 6 months of diagnosis. The longest anyone has survived is about 3 years (that's with treatment).
The reason she isn't seeking treatment may be because she knows she will die anyway and doesn't want to prolong the process any longer.
If she has emphysema from smoking as well, then that will probably shorten her life further.
I'm sorry, but I think you should value every day you have with this lady, because it seems like her time is short now.
