Question: Cancer and life expectancy.? Hi.
Today I found out that one of my long time friends (he's 19) had surgery to remove a cancerous testicular tumor. I was wondering, assuming it didn't spread to another part of his body, will he live just as long as he originally would have? Or has it drastically lowered his life expectancy?
I'm sorry if this is a stupid question, I am just very concerned at the moment. Thanks.

EDIT: I don't know what kind of testicular cancer it was or any details really. But thanks you all very much, you've taken a lot of my mind.
Sorry about repeating the above stuff ^^ don't know how that happened.
Answer: Lance Armstrong won 7 Tour de France long distance bicycle races after treatment for testicular cancer that had spread to his lungs and brain. http://www.biography.com/articles/Lance-…
Your friend may have a much earlier stage. You don't tell us what type of testicular carcinoma. We don't know the stage. But this is a type of malignancy that is usually very curable with state of the art medical care.
